24.01.2022 Cant wait to potentially see these C-27J Spartans come through FCAs facility for their first repaint. Great selection of aircraft displays here at the Australian International Airshow. #aviation #aviationexpo #aircraft #avalon2019 #airshow #aircraftrefurbishment #aircraftpainting #augmentedreality #defence #military #aerospace #C27J #spartan #C27JSpartan

24.01.2022 The Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Solomon Islands (CAASI), Brian Halisanau along with his team Gerald Rea and Max Foon proudly presented FCA a CAASI Part 145 Approval, enabling us to now complete base and line maintenance on aircraft registered in the Solomon Islands.

23.01.2022 Things have been busy at FCA, but we took some time to reflect on our latest project, the first QantasLink Q400 repainted with the airlines updated branding and Kangaroo logo, VH-QOA

21.01.2022 Something you dont see everyday! A Transaero Boeing 747 decorated in stunning fashion with the face of an Amur tiger to help draw attention to the plight of the big cat - one of the most endangered in the world. Entitled Tiger Flight, the project hopes to educate the international community on the issues of environmental protection and put a stop to the poaching of the rare breed.

21.01.2022 In order to meet domestic and international demand, FCA are proud to announce that we have expanded our Part 145 A1 rating and SOW limitations to now include Airbus A318-321 and Bombardier Dash 8 1-400 aircraft, ontop of our existing Boeing 737 approval. Including these aircraft gives our customers additional flexibility in not only being able to complete repaints, but to also complete maintenance concurrently, saving time and reducing costs. This upgrade also enables FCA to now compete on an international level in the Asia Pacific region on a larger fleet of aircraft.

20.01.2022 Its hard to get a complete shot of these impressive aircraft due to their size. We regularly see these C-17 Globemaster III in Townsville but are unable to fit them in our current facility, perhaps a new wide body hangar is in FCAs future! #aviation #aviationexpo #aircraft #avalon2019 #airshow #aircraftrefurbishment #aircraftpainting #augmentedreality #defence #military #aerospace #airforce #australianinternationalairshow #C17Globemaster #C17 #Globemaster #RAAF

16.01.2022 We give a crap about the little things! As part of our TAKE-OFF initiative, were committed to try and reduce our carbon emissions by 65% before the end of 2018. Thats a pretty big task! So to help up meet this target we thought wed start small by first replacing our toilet paper, paper towel and tissues throughout our facilities, with Who Gives A Crap 100% recycled products.... By making the swap weve helped save 30,797 trees, 79 millions litres of water and 5,922 tonnes of carbon emissions. For more information about their products and the great charity work they do to improve sanitation in the developing world, visit their website when your next on the ahhhh throne ;) https://au.whogivesacrap.org

16.01.2022 Aviation is a challenging industry at the best of times and COVID-19 has not only brought it to a standstill but will take many years for the sector to return to normal. Without a doubt this is the single biggest challenge the aviation industry has faced since its inception and will be one of the last industries to recover. The Federal Governments Jobkeeper scheme has been instrumental in enabling us to provide a level of continued financial support and security to our valu...ed staff, but also retaining the skills so we can maintain a level of capability and capacity into the future. We believe the key to saving the Australian aviation industry long term is a more targeted and tailored assistance scheme not only continuing Jobkeeper past September, but supporting, enabling and facilitating aviation businesses to innovate and diversify their products and services to provide a value proposition for Australian airlines justifying the argument to "stay/buy local", as it is just as imperative that the airlines themselves support industry as well.

15.01.2022 VH-QOT marks the competition of our last scheduled aircraft for 2018. This could never had been achieved without the support and dedication of our amazing staff, and also our suppliers.

15.01.2022 Today we were joined by the QLD Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and her team to discuss how the State Governments Back to Work program benefited Flying Colours, enabling us to offer long term employment opportunities for Townsville. We currently have employed 4 staff members under the scheme, with another 15 to join them soon.
