Engaged by Swimming Victoria, I ...was asked to fast-track a literature review on the relationship between Swimming Pools and COVID 19. With the ever-changing COVID-19 environment, I believe it is the first of its kind in Australia. Unfortunately, Swimming Pools and their operations are often a misunderstood environment. Through lack of knowledge and incorrect assumptions, decisions are being made that negatively impact a highly regulated industry. But more than anything, the review provided fascinating information. Things I am sure the industry has known all along. As international scientific evidence has acknowledged, pools are one of the safe environments. 23.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS Wednesday 19th August 2020 This block of swimming has been wonderful, and we thank you for supporting a local family enterprise. After 18 years of building a successful business, improving swimming on the Sunny Coast, Nicola and I have made the exciting decision to hand over to Scott and Tammy Hobson. ... Scott brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in pool management and swim school operations. He has previously worked at North Sydney Olympic Pool and before that, Beerwah Aquatic Centre. Scott has been involved in competing, teaching and coaching swimming for over 20 years now. He has managed and developed two progressive swim schools, coached school level to national still water swimmers, nippers to elite level surf athletes and age group to professional triathletes. Tammy is the creative one, a swimwear designer and fashion educator, who is also an accredited swim teacher. She is excited and ready to be hands-on creatively in the business. Scotty and Tammy, together with their kids Tucker, six and Tanner, four, are looking forward to engaging in business practices and working with the community to build a stronger and safer Sunny Coast. It is with great satisfaction that we welcome the new owners of flying fish SWIM SCHOOL. They will commence Thursday 27th August. You can be excited about what they will bring to the next chapter as they are energetic, enthusiastic, and most of all show a strong love for swimming.
