24.01.2022 An angel flight with a difference, this time one of our old members from a few years ago. James Carlson needed a ride from wagga to Bankstown for an operation on his arm. Angel flight contacted us and asked if we were available :) of course we are :)

Kym spends his days ( and nights) protecting the community as one of our boys in blue, and we are so glad he and his daughter Kate are flying with us. Today Kym took to the sky alone and unassisted and got the trusty sportstar back for an absolute greaser!! Well done mate

20.01.2022 Yay!! Finally some flying again. Jaspers brush is still unserviceable following the recent rains, but Wollongong is good to go! We would like to welcome home good old sportstar 7071, come home to roust! We now have 2 sportstars online at the school so booking a spot should be much easier :)

20.01.2022 What a day it was today. You would love a pair of eyes as blue as that sky was !!! 3 sport stars going all day today, 15 flights including 4 TIFS and one first solo what a day. Thanks to all who came and helped on the roller to help improve the runways!! Good job clubbies :) How good is flying

20.01.2022 This bloke!! Congrats to Clayton Muller, who today passed his flight test. He is now a fully fledged pilot and one of the clubs most valued members :) Clayton is one of the groundskeepers who donates his spare time to keep the runways and aprons maintained. Thanks for all your hard work Clayton and we are glad you have achieved your goal of becoming a pilot :)) well done son!!

17.01.2022 A massive congrats to our former president and maintainer Chad Summers. Chad recently won " RAA maintainer of the year". There is an article about him in this months RAA mag, be sure to check it out and give him a pat on the back when you see him.. we are very lucky to still have chad as part of our club, all be it remotely. Good job mate

17.01.2022 This is a special one folks. This young lady set herself a goal, some years ago. That goal was to become a pilot. Her family and friends rallied behind her and gave her incredibly valuable encouragement and support. Not to let lack of funds deter her from her ambition, she applied herself to gaining scholarships and was granted two from the RAA AND the AWPA. After over a year of study and flight training, today she took to the skies alone and completed her first solo. There ...were more than a few tears from all those involved today, not least of which, Elyzias nan Jenni, who could barely contain her excitement. Well done young lady, there is nothing in life you can not achieve. Well done Alex her instructor for guiding her through and giving her the skills she needs. And did I mention, Elyzia only turned 15 last month!!! Great day to be involved with this fantastic little flying club. Well done Elyzia See more

14.01.2022 Congrats to this young bloke. He was issued his student pilot certificate on the 5th of December, and 1 month later, he passed his flight test and we gave him his pilots certificate. Well done Jack Geaney, great job mate!!!

12.01.2022 What is better than two sportstars? 3 of course! A brilliant day for flying today, with 3 aeroplanes in the air all day! How good is flying??? A reminder for any pilots flying in, you need prior permission from the airfield owner :) Runway 13/31 is currently unserviceable.

09.01.2022 The SCRFC committee braved the heat on Sunday for a meeting. Of course our illustrious treasurer, Max Cochran arrived in his fantastic little helicopter. He is the quintessential aviator, and we are lucky to have folks like him working for our fantastic little club. Thanks to all who lend a hand to make the place great!!!

What a treasure she is, this is the aircraft that smithy and the boys flew thousands and thousands of record breaking miles in, not a replica!! If you are a pilot , you need to see this lovely old lady. She blazed the trail making modern airline travel possible. ... What a beautiful thing!!!! The mighty southern cross!!
