22.01.2022 We make such a huge emotional investment in our pets - and our vets are the ones that look after their health - but who's looking after our vets? In 2018, after many years of research into veterinary mental health, Dr Nadine Hamilton started Love Your Pet Love Your Vet - a charity set up specifically to support the veterinary industry. Nadine is our special guest on Episode 12 of #FlynnsTalk ... https://apple.co/2FRWvu4

18.01.2022 We don't need to point out that 2020 has been tough! We unfortunately had to postpone our Melbourne edition of Flynn's Walk that was scheduled for May. We were hopeful of being able to hold it sometime in the back part of the year, but with the current situation in Victoria, this won't be possible. So, we are hitting pause and will see you for Flynn's Walk in May, 2021! (All going well) We can't wait to walk with everyone again. In the meantime, we're still here! Tune into ou...r podcast series - Flynn's Talk - where we are continuing the conversation around mental health in the veterinary industry and the community more broadly. Thanks to everyone who has supported us by fundraising in a clinic, listening to the podcast, buying a beanie or a t-shirt, or just sending a message to say hello - it is all so appreciated. We are working on some exciting ideas and collaborations in the background, as soon as we have news in this space we will share more. Stay well & stay safe.

Hear the full interview with Zac in the latest episode of #FlynnsTalk - get it where you get your podcasts

07.01.2022 Every day is the right day to look out for those in your world and ask R U OK? But today is a 10/10 day for it.
07.01.2022 Another great campaign from R U OK Day - pop September 10 in your diary folks! But remember, you can ask "are you okay?" any day if you think someone you know might be having a tough time.
06.01.2022 This is so true - you don't need to be the one with the answers, just the one to answer the call. :)
06.01.2022 Today is R U OK? Day - here are some of our vet friends from around Australia and the world to help spread the message... including our very own Dr Cam and Dr Kathy at the top We know that veterinarians suffer a high rate of burnout and sadly a disproportionate rate of suicide when compared to the general population. It is time to break down the stigma, bring down the wall and ask each other "are you okay?"
06.01.2022 We love boiled lollies! Take a closer look though... Thank you to Your Family Vet in Horsham for this amazing gift!
06.01.2022 Episode 15 is live! We're joined by practicing psychologist Sandy Rea - our first return guest on the podcast! We discuss this "COVID normal" we are all experiencing and living through. How can we better understand the emotions we are feeling? Is it okay to take a break? Is there light at the end of the tunnel? 2020 has really pushed conversations about mental health to the fore, which will hopefully go a long way to reducing stigma and encouraging everyone to speak up when they are not okay. Listen to the full conversation wherever you get your podcast fix :)
05.01.2022 Season 2 is live! Hear from wildlife vet Paul Ramos about what it was like landing on the ground in Australia and joining the bushfire relief effort within 24 hours. Available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts - we've posted the links below.

Dr Melanie Bowden shares her experiences of being a veterinarian, the challenges she faces and her view on how pet owners can help to alleviate stress for her and her peers.
