17.01.2022 Today we are heading to the 8th World Adventure Therapy Conference to present the findings of a year long study we have hosted in partnership with University of... Canberra, creating new and powerful pathways that breakdown stigma surrounding men's help seeking and mental health. This is an amazing opportunity for us to be heard by the worlds greatest minds working in this space! Thank you to all our partners, people who have donated money and to all our Aussie brothers who put their hand up to support this project! Thank you also to Niall Blair MLC at NSW DPI for supporting the health benefits recreational fishing delivers to our community through funding generated by NSW Recreational Fishing licences. 08.01.2022 Meet #meninflight brother, Ian. Married to Jennifer (36Yrs) 4 kids, Grant, Benjamin, Richard & Kimberley. I have 6 Grand Kids, currently Levena 2yo lives with ...us permanently, so yes going through the junior years all over again!!! I was born in the UK emigrated at 8yo arriving in 1970 Grew up in the Hawkesbury, enjoy camping, fishing, cruising & photography when time permits. I have worked in various roles from retail, warehouse distribution, TAFE ACT and currently in a government role since 2001. Unfortunately, I did have a struggle with some issues and challenges in my working life along the way but managed to keep on keeping on! It was recommended for me to go along and participate in The Fly Program and I highly recommend it!! I was nervous and unsure at first but as I walked into the program and was introduced to the guys I felt at ease! Yes we were challenged physically and mentally but we all worked together as a team and achieved our goals. I met a great bunch of blokes now brothers! We have a network we can contact with each other when, and if we are having challenges, or to remind each other of our goals we set during the 4 days! The Fly Program was a great experience and I often think daily about the brothers and the motivation to commit to changes in my life. A sincere thank you The Fly Program team for your continuing support and guidance, we can all assist each other to change the culture.

07.01.2022 We have all travel different roads in our lives. Sometimes these roads can seemingly lead us through journeys that test our resolve, values and quality of life.... On the other-hand these roads can also bring to us incredible joy, happiness and love found in others. If we were to think of life as a road, surely it would be a dirt road. With all its bumps and corrugations, dust and dirt it is the make up of our journey through life. But very often, its that dirt road that leads to the very best of destinations. To our brother 'Doc,' we wish you and your family an abundance of love and support as you deal with a family loss. We dedicate this road to you mother. 07.01.2022 We are not seeking a pat on the back... We just want to share with our @theflyprogram community what this program means to our Aussie men. "Thank you for your k...ind words mate. You too have been a massive inspiration in my life and honestly... I strive to be even half the bloke you are. Meeting you and attending the Men In Flight program has added a much needed sense of perspective to my life. I have always noticed that its all too easy to let the bad events in life shape my life, to the point that anything I try to recall is "before such and such" or "after such and such". It took a few weeks after the program to notice that I was living in a 'post fly program' stage of life. Every new day is a 'post fly program day'. It's not to say that life is perfect or easy...nor will it be. No doubt the bad events will always be with me and contribute to the person I am, but now they are not as 'big'. No doubt there could be stresses lurking around any corner in the future. But there is also nothing to stop every day for the rest of my life from being a post fly program day. The comfort I derive from this I can only describe as huge. I really hope other brothers in past and future programs can find a similar comfort and that their families and friends feel the ripple effect, just like I have and my family has. I am so grateful that you are who you are and you do what you do. I am equally grateful to have this new passion of sponsoring guys into what is a truly life changing experience. I genuinely want to devote the rest of my life to The Fly Program in any capacity I can. I cannot thank you enough brother! #meninflight brother - Doug
