25.01.2022 Today was one of those F#@% YES!!! Days. Fitness testing and measurement day for 2 amazing clients who haven't let covid-19 get in the way of their fitness journey. As a personal trainer I absolutely bloody love seeing my clients push themselves, reach further than they thought they could, overcome/work around injuries to smash their training and achieve results. Measuring my client’s progress is an important part of my personal training program, whether it’s noting that the...y succeeded in lowering their blood pressure, measured decrease in body fat, lost cms or recovery time after sets has decreased. Equally, I love how it helps motivate my clients when they see evidence of the goals they have reached. Conversely, if there hasn’t been any progress, it provides myself and my client an opportunity to really investigate further and discuss issues, change things up and reassess things such as nutrition. Today is one of those days that just puts a huge smile on my face. 19.01.2022 Wow.....what a year 2020 has been!!!!! Fires, smoke, covid-19, lock downs...my goodness it was a whirl wind to say the least So during this year did you have time to reflect on............ How important your own health and fitness is? What are some things that you would like to/need to change in regards to your own health and fitness? What a great bootcamper family we have taking time out of your day to go and support your fellow bootcampers and/or donate to the fundraiser. Couldn't be a prouder trainer today. You all rock!!!

10.01.2022 So proud of this crew, the rocky hill run is not for the faint hearted, (starting from East grove netball courts, up to rocky hill and back) every single one of these bootcampers made it up to the top... completing shuttle runs , numerous exercises such as squats, lunges, pushups and Tricep dips to name a few added a little extra spice to an already hot afternoon. The smiles on their faces, the change from breathless to happy chatter, facing their challenges head on and not giving up, the high of achieving getting to the top, the opportunity to work with awesome people...some of the reasons I Bootcamp

07.01.2022 How awesome are these fitness test results!!! Well done (a month apart) This couple have worked extremely hard and stayed dedicated to their training even during "rona" times . They run their own successful buisness, have children they have been home schooling, have renovated their home, have had numerous extenuating circumstances that they could have used as excuses to not train.. BUT they didn't - they have remained dedicated to their goals and they have reaped the benefits of their hard work....Jack also lost 4cms taking his 3 monthly total up to 26cms and Stacey lost a huge 13cms taking her 3 monthly tally up to a whopping 72cms... one very super happy PT right here!!!!!! I helping clients achieve their goals, and do things they never thought they would be able to do...

06.01.2022 What does your rest day look like? Do you have a rest day? Do you like rest days? I used to hate rest day!!!! Until I worked out how important and beneficial they are. My "Rest Day" involves getting a little extra sleep. Having a nice non-rushed breakfast. Ensuring I do a good session of rollering, stretching prehab and rehab exercises. Planning the weeks nutrition and meal prepping (I've been a little slack on that lately- desperate for some new ideas SO if you have any, I'd love to hear them) Along with the usual everyday things we do... family time, washing, cleaning, groceries etc. I use my rest day as a reset day, reset the body and mind and aim to get somewhat organised for the week ahead. What does your rest day look like ?

05.01.2022 Congratulations to this absolute Champion!!!!! Who has overcome both major physical injury and emotional challenges based on previous experiences at this track. Jack raced at Majura on the weekend and placed 9th!!! Gutsy effort for someone who has had 2 broken wrists and a broken leg in the last 12 month's. When I asked him how he went on the weekend he replied..... Faster would be better but Majura has always been bad with me breaking shit so happy to finish and I’m starting to feel comfortable on the bike again which is good. Jack "shows up" to his PT sessions and gives everything I throw at him 100%. Not always easy when you own your own busy business. Looking forward to seeing what he can do with more cardio (hardio) and endurance sessions. WELL DONE JACK

03.01.2022 Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent hard work gains success. Greatness will come. Dwayne The Rock Johnson Today's training was a tough one. Great headspace but a body that was probably a little sleep deprived from the New Year festivities BUT I focused and smashed it. I did have a nap this afternoon which is a clear indicator that I was so very tired. While we sleep, our body works to repair and restore our muscles, bones, and tissue from the strain we put on them during the day. If you worked out especially hard and feel pain, it can be good to start that recovery process sooner vs. later, especially if you are too tired to do anything else.
