15.01.2022 Check out Amaris Wildlife Sanctuary’s new rehabilitation enclosure, which was funded by the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife through its Wildlife Heroes Project. This enclosure is going to help the sanctuary with the rehabilitation of several different native species, especially during times of fire and drought. The enclosure can also be relocated if necessary, making it a very useful asset in times of emergency. This grant was made possible through the Wildlife Resc...ue and Rehabilitation Initiative of the Australian Government. #fnpw #backyardbuddies #wildlifeheroes

05.01.2022 In 2015 the United Nations adopted a set of 17 #sustainabledevelopmentgoals that serve as a blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and planet, now and into the future. SDGs are now a globally recognised way of measuring impact in designated areas. FNPW's work on growing parks and saving species has had the most impact on six specific #SDGs SDG 13: Climate Action... After the Black Summer bushfires, FNPW committed to plant one million trees by 2025. With thanks to our major partners, One Tree Planted and L'OCCITANE en Provence, Bushfire Recovery Nurseries have been established to support restoration. These nurseries build on established community nurseries to support community engagement projects and to deliver large scale planting projects. Sites will be planted with various native tree species that will help protect threatened wildlife such as the koala, glossy black cockatoo and swift parrot. Initial locations have been established in Yankalilla (SA), Hawkesbury (NSW) and the ACT. Design Cred: http://davidmarlowdesign.co.uk/ #fnpw #UnitedNations #SDGs #HealingOurLand #bushfirerecovery
