08.01.2022 October Barfly has landed! This edition features our very own Focus Brand rep Andrew "Harps" Harper in the Team Profile section, page 23 (sorry Harps I did give you you the opp to send a photo of your choice, but since you didn't, it was manager's choice! lol). Also featuring in the Bar Tender Profile section (page 23) is one of our favourite Suntory/Focus loyal bartenders Mr Ben Keally. What a surprise that Ben is pictured with a bottle of Chartreuse! For those that don't k...now yet, Ben is now mixing up a storm at Empire Bar, which is why we have also featured Empire Bar in the Bar Guide section. Anyone wanting to showcase their venue or get their own mug in the mag be sure to let us know. Speaking of mugs... Simon Hough got his mug in the Suntory Cup pages (page 25)... and yes it's an obligatory finger pointing shot of course! ha ha Congrats also to Ian Loh from Helvetica... you are mentioned in this edition as the WA finalist (page 3) but since going to print we now know that you came 3rd nationally with your Kyoto Kick. A big congrats from the Focus Brands team! Also good to see Mechanic's Institute get a mention in Bar Bites... with an all star line up!... Benjamin Feirce, Tim Wastell, Tim Laferla, Dim Rtshiladze, Tom Kearney. Javla Fitzgibbon's fantastic charity work also making mention. Love your work. Thanks Ben for keeping Club Suntory in the loop with all things WA. If you are a Club Suntory member your copy is in the mail. If you're not, why not... sign up now... Harps and Graeme have a few copies to hand out over the next few weeks so let us know if you want us to drop a copy by.
