20.01.2022 The fruit of the tree never resembles the tree from which it is born.- Travis Toar This is a point I observed myself, have you ever noticed how an apple, the fruit of an apple tree has no resemblance or characteristics of the tree itself? People often say:... I want to lose weight I want to tone up. I want to be healthy. I want to build muscle. These statements by people are all the fruits of the labour, but they need to understand the process before the fruit bears is what they must focus on, not focus on the fruit. The purpose of this discussion is to give people a new perspective so they understand that they must become the tree and satisfy the needs of a tree, so that the fruits will show up and flourish. People must become that process, that tree, that vessel through which fruits result. People have mistaken the gym or exercise as the fruit, they think I’m doing this so my body will change how they want it to. This is flawed because they perceive If I exercise, I will tone and lose weight. Within the philosophy of the Focus Training System music is identified as an important aspect of any individual's training. It determines mood, intensity and emotional connection to your... training. Most individuals have a 'gym playlist' on their portable devices which generally indicates their mood and approach to training. In 2020, common choices of genre while exercising are pop, hip-hop, electronic & rock/heavy metal. "You can tell a lot about someone by looking through the music on their playlist" This phrase is very true, and the same principle applies to their gym playlist. To an extent you can tell a lot about how someone trains, what type of training and intensity by choice of music. General population gym goers or those exercising for general well-being will preferably listen to pop / current 'hit songs' that are on the radio. As something easy-going to enjoy their exercise. Older folks will generally listen to 'songs of their era', which is tied in with the general population gym goers. Whereas more serious athletes & bodybuilders will generally listen to more heavy music, electronic music & hip hop music either because of the motivating beat or motivating lyrics that flick a switch to go that extra mile. In summary, music is a psychological link and is seen as a very important connection to physical activity/performance & elite level training.
