25.01.2022 Save the date.. Feb 8th 2020 FOK ROK will be at the next Blue Mts Uke Festival... it will be loads of fun.. see you there..! ....its free by the way!

25.01.2022 There were ukuleles, there was rain, dinners & dancing, a photo studio clicked away, raffle tickets opened wallets and umbrellas opened for the dash to each of the 10 stages. A stilt walker negotiated packed corridors, the wind howled, there was more rain and more dancing. There was an ABC radio jock, dusty Sunday morning players and strum-a-longs. Did I mention the rain? Most of all there was a heck of a lot of smiles all weekend. Friends, family and fans of all 160 acts pla...ying at the festival didnt care it was raining - well almost. It was tricky to negotiate to say the least but the over riding emotion was joy that the fires were finally going out. This weekend was something to celebrate and not cause to decelerate. Saturday night - The Blue Mts Uke Festival organizers moved the evening outdoor entertainment inside quicker than you can say "get my umbrella". We [FOK ROK], along with the fantastic international guest performers - MARLOWE & Simple Souls - played to a packed house of brave uke fans who ignored the chaos outside to feel safe, secure and happy to have a dry path direct to the bar and the Dining Room of the Carrington Hotel in Katoomba. With a finale by the fabulous host band - The Blue MUGS - no one could stay still or hold back their voice. Everyone was bonded by this unique time where after months of fire stressed experiences people could, for one rain soaked weekend, finally let down their hair. This Festival will stay with FOK ROK forever and I'm sure to everyone who attended. Thank you to each and every person who came along, not just to see us play but to be at the festival to show how the Ukulele community are such a wonderful supporting crowd of people. Music is the bond that draws so many people together. Music is at the core of the success of this festival. Music brought so much joy and good spirit to what could have been a washout. Cheers to the music. We hope everyone got home safely. See you next year! pics by Di Brooks & Wendy wendymcdougall.com.au #BMUF #MARLOWE #Simplesouls #FOKROK #ABCSYDNEY #Carringtonhotel #BLUEMUGS
