25.01.2022 I'm off next week for a month-long holiday - but anything urgent please email me: [email protected] and I'll see what I can do!

24.01.2022 Working at present on various Festival activities ... maybe I'll see you there?

23.01.2022 Friends, looks like it's been a month since I posted which is definitely NOT good business practice! I've been caught up with teaching and Festival applications, but there is light at the end of the tunnel :-) Hope you are all enjoying the warmer weather (though sporadic) and the longer hours of the day. Spring is definitely here and I'm really enjoying the flowers and fragrances of this time of year. Catch you all soon! I'm in my office on Wednesday if anyone needs to chat.... PS: Two new cats in our household! Meet Tycho the big boy and delicate little Nutmeg the Bengal.

23.01.2022 If you’re facing some downtime at the moment, it’s not a bad idea to use this time to do all those things in your business that are sometimes neglected. One thing I can help you with is writing content for future posts, blogs, articles and more. Look back over photos you’ve taken in the past year, find things you haven’t promoted, tell some stories that are good news, and we can chat via phone or video about some ideas. Having a stock of content is one of the best things you can do for your business when things begin to return to normal.

23.01.2022 There are many days at the moment when I wish I was back in France. Although everything there is also shutdown, we'd still be able to buy the most amazing cheese and baguettes, which absolutely cures the blues ... https://www.stayinafrenchcottage.com

22.01.2022 Lovely people! Hope you are keeping well. Let me know if you need a chat - we're working from home now but happy to lend an ear if needed. 0438 512 740.

20.01.2022 Do you need some inspiration for writing content for your social media? I'm still available (mostly Thursdays or evenings) and can happily help you out. Doesn't matter how small your project is, I can price it accordingly. If you've got some pictures, I'll write some text and get you some posts scheduled!

19.01.2022 No doubt your business is being affected by the COVID19 pandemic, which will prove difficult in the weeks and months ahead. Reach out if you want to discuss some ideas to work towards planning social media activities. Sometimes the down time leads to other creative opportunities (although that doesn't pay the bills).

19.01.2022 I love integrating my client's activities on Facebook with their website ... Facebook grabs your customers attention quickly because they like what you post. It's important to draw them to your website through links, events, blogs and more. They go hand in hand. The challenge is how to keep them fresh!

18.01.2022 Back in my office this week on Tuesday and Thursday. #backtowork

18.01.2022 This week I'm investigating ways to collate materials online for working groups (students/teachers/others) that are low cost or free and easy to use. Watch this space!

16.01.2022 If you're struggling to get your social media activities organised, I work with small businesses providing ideas, training, scheduling, writing content and generally helping you out! As few or as many hours a month as you need. No contracts. Happy to be your 'back of house' helper to help you with any sized project at an affordable hourly rate.

15.01.2022 FREE MINI WORKSHOP: Wednesday 27 November, 5pm. For Woodend business owners only. A free 1-hour workshop in my office to help you make the most of Facebook for the lead-in to Christmas, and explain how to make posts that I can then share with Woodend Village Facebook page.... My office: Room 5, 75 High Street Woodend. Bring your laptop or tablet, and make sure you can log in to your personal and business Facebook accounts on it. Make sure you have a few decent images of something that you'd like to post. I'll demonstrate, help you write a good post, show you a couple of tips and tricks and explain what I'm looking for to repost on Woodend Village Facebook. RSVP [email protected]

15.01.2022 Sharing a great Canva resource with you - Canva Design School. Some great short videos here to help you create the look you want for your business social media. Use some spare time to freshen up your postings and get your message out. If you need help with the words and content, I'm happy to help. https://designschool.canva.com

14.01.2022 Hello! I haven't dropped off the planet but am finding teaching reasonably demanding, as well as setting up the website for the a holiday house in France which I'll share with everyone when ready. Looking forward to working on a new website for a Woodend local and keeping up with social media management for local businesses. Never fear - I'm around just not in the usual office hours. You can always make an appointment for me to visit you after hours.

13.01.2022 Printed some lovely A2 posters this week for a local arts group. These were printed on my Canon Pro1000 on high resolution 120 gsm paper, as full gloss not essential for something like a poster. Affordable too at $4.50 each.

11.01.2022 Updating my lovely followers: I've moved my office back home. We now have fast internet and renovations are finished so it makes sense to be here rather than in a rented space. Hope you are all keeping well and safe in these unsettled times.

07.01.2022 Check out the website of Woodend's own film-maker Michael Dillon. So much history here! www.michaeldillonfilms.com.au

05.01.2022 I've been seeing a lot of business posts on Facebook lately loaded with hashtags. I personally find this very annoying to read and I was wondering what others thought was best practice. So I've done a bit of research about the best practice for hashtags on Facebook - and it differs from Instagram and Twitter. The consensus is that 'less is more' and that one or two well-chosen hashtags (like your location) is better than heaps of them scattered through your text. Great information in his article: https://www.business2community.com//hashtags-on-facebook-s

02.01.2022 How are you at editing your documents? I love editing - it gives me great satisfaction when I've sharpened up a piece of writing to ensure no errors or inconsistencies. It can take a while, several reviews may be needed and we all know how hard it is to edit our own work. (That's why there's an edit button on Facebook posts!) Got some writing that needs editing? Email me for more information. No job too small! Enjoy your week - let's hope for some sunny days soon!
