23.01.2022 My big boy Boston. Unfortunately he has outgrown my house and has been rehomed. (It's all good, he has the most beautiful bush veiw off a verandah). When I bought him I had no idea just how big he was going to grow. He liked really bright light, way more light then you think a fern would like. I watered him when he was almost dry (but not completely dry..... Finger that soil peeps) and I just had him in premium potting mix. He seemed to like it and always had new growth. 23.01.2022 Syngonium fantasy this is a very easy plant. It loves a chunky soil mix, lots of bright light and to be watered when dry. I have heard that they can look like a aurea if given the right conditions. Apparently if they are in medium to low lighting they have yellow tones. I haven't tried this with mine. 22.01.2022 Homalomena Sunshine Gem - shes small, compact and easy to care for. She doesn't like to dry out too much and can be a bit of a drama queen if she does. I haven't had her for too long but she has been super adaptable. I move her around my house a lot. When I need that vibrant green splash or a fresh new look, she's always there. 20.01.2022 Zz plant. Easy! If you don't want a fussy girl and can't be bothered sticking to a strict watering schedule, this is the plant for you. Mine sits in the middle of my house and receives low to medium light. I water her when I remember (maybe once a month) and that's about it. I was moving her around my house to brighter areas but she did not like that kind of attention. I have noticed, some of her smaller shoots turn yellow right before she pushes up a bunch of new growth. 18.01.2022 One of my high white Manjula - these ones like to dry right out between watering. I use a chunky, free draining mix and only water when dry. I keep them in terracotta pots so they do tend to dry out quickly. To propagate I take a cutting with 3 or more nodes. Remove the bottom couple of leaves. Soak this cutting overnight in Oleisea.... After a 12-18 hour soak, wet down some sphagnum moss and squeeze out the excess water. Place the nodes in damp sphagnum moss, make sure they are covered well. Place your moss covered Manjula cutting in a nice warm spot and wait. 16.01.2022 Micans - a beautful climber that is pretty simply to care for. She is prone to a spider mite attack as she has the fuzzy texture on her leaves. I water her once a week and every time she produces a new node, I pin her down to the soil. I want her to branch out and fill the pot. She gets her Oleisea feed once a fortnight and hasn't slowed down with growth. I will eventually let her climb, I'm interested to see how big I can get her leaves. Might need a Canungra farm trip to find some old wood for her to cling to. 12.01.2022 Alocasia - I'm not super sure of the variety as I'm just baby sitting this lady for the time being. She's been pretty simple to look after. She likes really bright light, doesn't like to dry out too much between waterings and is really keen on partnering up with spider mites. I haven't had another spider mite attack since the predator mites were released I do check her every second day. She's a fast grower and making lots of new offshoots. 05.01.2022 Pet bugs anyone? So.... I have some new pets. Apparently these guys will eat any spider mites and then die once the food source is gone. A bit sad for the little p-mites I feel like that's a sad ending for great little helpers. Next minute.... I'm out collection infested leaves from the garden to feed my new pets I suppose it gives me a new excuse to buy another plant. Let's see where the p-mite guilt gets me They come in a cylinder full of a sawdust like materia...l. You simply sprinkle it on your foliage and let them go free. This is literally the first time all of my plants have all made contact with each other. I don't let them touch each other at all, just in case someone's infected. 05.01.2022 2020 has been one crazy year! Some time ago I started researching growth promoters and biostimulants. I wanted to find a safe, natural product that could encourage my plants to grow faster. I'm so impatient and was always wanting larger, fuller plants. I can't justify spending big money on already grown plants and always bought the cheap baby ones. When I stumbled across Moringa Oleifera, I knew I had found something special. The Auxins, Cytokinins and Gibberellins (nat...ural plant hormones that promote growth, cell division and much more) within Moringa has been proven to boost growth and plant yeild by up to 35% (check out our research page for more details). By designing a new kind of plant food, I have been able to remove the chemical rooting gels and slow release fertilisers from our home. 03.01.2022 So, with the launch of Oleisea, I have become short of time. I simply do not have the time to wash my foliage down like I normally do. So I've bought some helpers. Spider mites be gone!
