25.01.2022 Calico scrap box transformed into veggie bags, cleaning clothes, and tea towels.... zero waste...plastic free kitchen

25.01.2022 I just love filling orders, especially a special one like this.

25.01.2022 This is the country of Mt Darragh Lavender Farm where I sourced flowers for the complimentary lavender bags in folk&fae postal orders. The summer wild fires burned from the top of the coastal ranges for kilometres all the way to the bottom. Lucky for us most of the farm was spared including the harvested lavender flower shed stores. Today was the first time I drove The Darragh since the fires. It is a very changed landscape from the lush cool climate temperate forest.

18.01.2022 Since the 1970s, textile production including lino-block print and screen printing was introduced across remote bush studios as a means of supporting livelihood...s and encouraging artistic practice for people living on their traditional homelands. For Gamba Gama (senior women) from Hope Vale in Cape York Peninsula, textile design is about sharing cultural knowledge of customary rituals including collecting native bush foods and plants. 15.01.2022 I love old things, hand built, slow crafted, lasts through the ages, hold promise and hope even in its worn, dilapidated state, keeper of secrets, silent story teller, solo sole waiting a companions touch and care, restorative creating.... yesterday I was gifted a large amount of rescued landfill headed fabrics and lace, salvaged from the skip bin as a local high school spring cleaned the textiles stores. What an effort my staffer friend went to on my behalf. Feeling loved, now turning that love to laundering, pressing, scenting and creating.
