24.01.2022 For me, movement in a photograph is the closest thing it can get to being alive. An added sense of nostalgia, that feeling that yes indeed this moment happened but now it is happening again, in real time, in front of you.... How crazy is that? That a feeling of the past can affect so strongly that it’s a if it’s happening again, currently.... . I guess they are the in-betweens but for me they are the ones that tell the real story. Document your days. Just do it. 17.01.2022 SUNSET Sunrise/sunset session with little ones, is it possible? Sure is!! It’s perfect! Not only do you get the most amazing light and therefore photos, (photography = painting with light) you also get to have a really special time with your little one at a time you would normally be doing that real life stuff - you know, dinner, teeth, bed blah blah blah!... If they are early risers, just go with it, celebrate it (just for one day). If you prefer the warmth of the afternoon sun, fill their tummies, have some calm time before you pack them and their favourite teddy up in the car for a sunset adventure. 10.01.2022 As a creative the ideas usually come thick and fast. One of the things I’ve always struggled with, (I think it’s partly genetic ) is making those ideas come to fruition. I made a small pact (resolution of sorts) to follow through on ideas more and stick to my word. If I put it out there into the universe to get done, I WILL follow through. And I ALWAYS think it’s a good IDEA to print your photos. Something tangible has a far greater power to evoke emotions and memories than ...a mere screen. So these images of my kin, are now printed, on the most velvety of fine art papers from @atkins.pro.lab And I am so pleased I did it. For Our Love of Kin. folk. x
