11.01.2022 Today we unveiled a little something we have been working on. PINK?? you might think, well at Followmont we are constantly looking at opportunities to break d...own barriers and create new possibilities for our industry. An industry that may traditionally be seen as male dominant, Followmont is here to push those boundaries and make sure it is seen as one of acceptance, one of growth and one of security for individuals, no matter their differences. So today we celebrated the women in our industry in a bright way by revealing Pinky at an event held at Volvo Head Office. This UD is the first of 14 new ones which we have recently purchased which will be used across our different regions to service our customers. We chose the wording Celebrating women in transport as we believe the women in our industry should have their extraordinary contribution celebrated in a bold way. It is more than just one event or a pink truck, this is only the beginning. Stay tuned for how we empower those in our industry to embrace and celebrate our differences. 04.01.2022 Tomorrow is R U OK? Day. This day reminds us that we need to check in with those around us. It goes beyond just asking R U OK? It goes beyond just a question, t...hat simple connection can show someone your support without saying much at all, the power of conversation can be all it takes to make an impact, even if you do not see it immediately. As individuals we often struggle, this is not a sign of weakness, it just simply means that at times we need to lean on those around us to help us be strong and to help carry us. There is strength in unity, there is strength in family. We may be in an industry which is seen to be tough however there is no weakness in asking and there is certainly no weakness in answering honestly, it can be liberating and empowering. Remember -together, united, we are stronger.
