During the AGM, we were pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Agnew (The Happy Snack Company) and Dave Cohen (Biofields Organics) to our Board of Directors. We also thanked Ann Ross (HiveHaven) for her tenure on the board. We were also pleased to share details on FAN's new strategic vision and business model. ... After official proceedings, we celebrated with a great evening of conversations and reconnections - a great way to end 2020 the year that was. A big thanks to The Ginger Factory for hosting us. Also a big thank you to our members, partners, sponsors and supporters whose continued support of our ecosystem and each other have meant that collectively we have gotten through 2020. In a post COVID world, where certainty of food supply remains a real and enlivened issue, the agricultural food processing and manufacturing industry is gearing up to grow, foster and develop to take advantage of Australias need for food security, including fresh produce and value added products. A recent Queensland Productivity Commission report... found that food manufacturing accounted for 28.6% of Queenslands manufacturing sales and it also remains the biggest employer in the sector, employing half as many more people than machinery and equipment.
