25.01.2022 With painting and renovating my kitchen and now waiting for my new stove/oven. Food choices have not been great for a few weeks. My body has now rebelled big time. Inflammation, brain fog and aches and pains in my joints. Now holidays are over, back to making good lunches for the kids to take to school and then get lazy / loose MOJO and so often don't make the best choice for lunch for hubby and I. That's it. Had enough.... Kids have chicken, cheese and mayo wrapped in lettuce. They had a boiled egg and a few other bits. So made a budda bowl for hubby, home school child and me. Grated cheese, shreaded lettuce, sliced egg, capsicum, cucumber, grated carrot and shredded chicken mixed with mayo and chives. Oh nearly forgot strawberries #planningiskey #foodchangesthings #portablelunchs #schoollunches

23.01.2022 Love this. Is progress slower than you would like? I am not sure who originally made this, but if it was you, let me know! Most of us have experience with starv...ation diets, so it is easy to expect instant and dramatic results when we go keto. But going keto is different. On low-fat, calorie controlled diets, we eat less than we need, so a lot of the time, not always, weight will fall off. If we got stranded on a desert island, weight would fall off there too. But that doesn't mean it is good for us. And of course, our bodies go into starvation stress; the thyroid and metabolism have to slow down as a protection mechanism. But it also means, when we stop starving ourselves, the weight tends to come back plus interest. Guess what state most women, in particular, are in when they start keto?! So it can take a while to heal this state of starvation stress. What is the best way to heal it? EAT! But if we are in a state of starvation stress when we start, it is likely that we won't get instantaneous results. And, we could even gain. But that doesn't mean it isn't working. To move forward, we must heal the body, and the only way to do that is feed it what it needs. I watch so many women quit early on in the game, saying, "It just doesn't work for everyone" or "It doesn't work for me". But sadly, in most cases, they simply didn't have the information and guidance they needed. When I first started keto, I also gained weight. Was I worried? Yes! Did I second guess? Yes! But I had done so much reading about it that I decided to stick with it. Imagine if I had quit in the early days? I would have missed out on almost 20 years of good health and NEVER worrying about my weight!! And I would still be stuck in a cycle of endless dieting!! I am so glad I didn't quit! #bringbackthefat #Keto #LCHF christinecronau.com/12-week-program

21.01.2022 Whats hiding in YOUR freezer? Isolation lunch. So know my kids are not quite so preflimed and uploaded rather then a live. Lol... #learningathome #foodchagesthings #isolationlunch

20.01.2022 Ok Everyone What is something a little different or different to you that is in your cupboard right now (food wise) that you are not sure what to do with? How to cook it? Make it spread? Ask questions!

19.01.2022 Dinner doesn't have to be elaborate. Lazy dinner for me tonight. Hubby and the kids made chili today while I was at work (which I can't eat). ... So when I got home. Chicken thighs, Brussels sprouts, broccoli and capsicum, drizzled oil and a sprinkle of salt. Into the airfryer 25 min @ 180'. I love the veg being crunchy, you could put the chicken in and easily add veg in about 10min later for less cooked. Done and yum. Not pretty but yum.

19.01.2022 Which contains more fat? A boiled egg or a fried slice of bacon? The answer might surprise you.... Eggs were demonised in the 70s and 80s for having too much sa...turated fat and cholesterol. But after years of evidence showing that eggs were NOT dangerous, dietary guidelines had to be adjusted. Now, heart healthy guidelines say that eggs are very "nutritious" and "an essential part of any healthy eating plan" and that: "One egg has about 5 grams of fat but most of this is the good unsaturated fat that you need to be healthy. An egg contains only about 1.5 grams of saturated fat and no trans fat at all." The fat in a large egg has 1.6 g of saturated fat, 2 g of monounsaturated fat, 0.7 g of polyunsaturated fat and no trans fat. What about bacon? Well, that is an obvious no, no! Because the fats in bacon are outrageous. After all, one slice of bacon contains 1.1 g saturated fat, 1.5 g monounsaturated fat, 0.4 g polyunsaturated fat, and no trans fats. Oh, wait, what?! The fat in egg is 32% saturated, 40% monounsaturated, and 14% polyunsaturated. The fat in bacon is 32% saturated, 41% monounsaturated, and 11% polyunsaturated. It is pretty much exactly the same as the egg! In fact, once slice of fried bacon has less fat than a boiled egg! How could one be good and the other be bad? Or could it be that the saturated fat in either was never was an issue anyway? #bringbackthefat PS. Always look for quality free range eggs and bacon

18.01.2022 ARE YOU USING A SPACER? With the current air quality conditions around Australia people with #asthma are relying on their reliever / puffer medication more hea...vily. It is very important that you use a #spacer with your puffer. Using a spacer allows more medicine to get into the airways where it is needed. A spacer is recommended for all ages, not just children. http://ow.ly/NCbi50xVJhR #AsthmaMedication

17.01.2022 21 day immunity plan features on the front page of today’s Sunday Telegraph with double page spread on pages 2 & 3. There’s 3000 words of extract fro...m the book. Yes, you guessed it, low quality carbs and ultra - processed food are the major issue damaging our health and waist lines. https://www.amazon.co.uk//d/1529349672/ref=tmm_pap_title_0 https://www.google.co.uk//21-day-plan-boost-immune-sy/amp/

17.01.2022 Have you ever wondered what foods or products around your house are your triggers? Triggers for what - any and every symptom that you find unwanted. Bloating, skin conditions, IBS, headaches, mood swings, behavioural issues, Upset stomachs and much more. the HAIR 500 TEST is for you.... "What our hair analysis test covers Our standard test covers a list of 500 items including all food groups, bathroom, laundry, Gluten-free and kitchen products. The focus is on what you CAN eat and use rather than what you can’t. It includes common local brands found in supermarkets and health food stores. Each item is tested in the form it is usually consumed (both raw and/or cooked where applicable)." "This test does not compare with any other test, hair or otherwise. It is completely different approach as we are testing at a much deeper level. By feeding the body in line with the Compatibility test results we are enhancing cellular function. Correct cellular function leads to good organ function. Good organ function leads to good immunity and elimination, NATURALLY." RED are foods and products that are incompatable for this person and should be avoided to start with. We can then make and plan and work through the issues and support healing to allow some if not all these items to return. Send me a message for more information

16.01.2022 It's time to STOP the PANIC!!! I often talk about how our health is our superpower... and it TOTALLY is!!! Right now we have a great opportunity withi...n the current global climate to reminder ourselves how to support our bodies and our health, naturally. ... to start asking 'what does my body need right now?' ... to start asking 'Is there something else I need to do to support it?' ... to ask our bodies 'how can I nourish you even more?' . Also in Australia we are heading into winter... which really is always a good time to start talking about and ACTIONING the things that will support and help our immune systems as we head into the winter months. . I would like to point out as well, that it is not COVID-19 itself that is the CAUSE of death- it is the secondary infections like Pneumonia for example that are the cause of death... that have developed after contracting COVID-19; just as it is for many other viruses that are similar: i.e. the flu- so it’s extra important to make sure that you're in the best health you CAN be in, right now! . ->>> To be clear "The Corona Virus" has been around for a long time... we have known about it from microbial point of view since the 1960... Under a microscope, the viruses have crown-like spikes protruding from their surfaces. Covid-19 is a new strain of the corona virus discovered last year, thus the '19'. . So there is a lot of fear going around at the moment, so I thought I would share my TOP 10 TIPS to help support your immune system... our "super defenders". . *** My tips are things that I do in MY home, and for my family, that have the potential to support your general health and well being- along with immune support. They are not 'proven actions' to prevent or treat or 'cure' the coronavirus virus *** . . 1 Eat Fresh! Right now we are seeing some crazy actions from some with how they are shopping.... for example Coles online deliveries have had an order this week of $3500 worth of pantry items! . What we can see from the fear shopping is that people are stocking up on foods that higher in glucose rich foods, which SLOW DOWN the immune response... . .... which means, people are leaving BEHIND the fresh veggies, fruits and meals. . All the foods that will help to support good health. SO go shop for those --->>> You can't eat toilet paper! Include as much fresh veggies and fruits as possible. . . 2 Use soap!!! Wash your hands regularly- and soap is the best thing you can do that with. We can see from side by side testing that soap does a great job at helping us to limit the spreading of germs. . . 3 Get outside in the sun. Vitamin D is super important to developing and supporting a good immune system... So spending 15 mins out in direct sunlight, is an awesome way to increase your vitamin D levels. ->>> if you're struggling with low vitamin D, book in for a consult with a practioner. . . 4 Consume Sauerkraut and other fermented foods Fermented foods are FULL of probiotics and prebiotics... with 80% of our immune system being in our gut, making sure your gut health is being looked after is HIGH on the list to support good immune function. . Also Sauerkraut is high in Vitamins and minerals... particularly Vitamin C (which many of the good brands are sold out of at the moment). . . 5 De-stress Chronic, long term and unmanaged stress is a big factor in lowering our immune capacity... our body can't tell the difference between the stress of being chased by a tiger and stress that you're going to run out of toilet paper. Stress is stress! and your body will always give in to the stress response, because it wants your to get away from the things that are stressing you! . So lower your stress where you can. Get out of the fear cycle that is currently being perpetuated by the media. . . 6 Drink Water Many of my clients are actually chronically dehydrated because they aren't drinking enough water. Chronic dehydration can cause damage to the kidneys and leave your body in a weaker position- and if you get sick, fluids are on the top of the list to help you recover and maintain good health. . Using herbal teas are also a great way to support the immune system and help with maintaining hydration while you are unwell, and you might like to join my online herbal teas course to help you select awesome herbs for you. . --->>> https://www.facebook.com/groups/2567904889908245/ . . 7 BREATHE! Deep breathing lowers your stress hormones, calms the body and supports good lung function. And while you're breathing you might want to add house plants to create good quality air in your home. You may also like to add pure essential oil defusing in your home as well, with my top recommendations being: bergamot, eucalyptus, geranium, cinnamon, lemongrass and thyme oil ***(pet owners, please check for any contraindications for your pets) . . 8 Limit the flow of toxicity in your home. Reduce, Limit, Remove - Household chemicals, food chemicals, and anything that causes an immune response for you and your family. . Go Green and Clean with things like essential oils, bi carb, vinegar and etc. . Reduce the processed food items that your household is consuming, take this opportunity to learn to bake and make, and save some MONEY and HEALTH as you do it. . . 9 Increase your detoxing support items. Detox baths, a bath with Epsom salts is a great way to help you relax, increase your magnesium levels, and support your immune system. Other suggested detox tools: Clay, Seaweed, Bi Carb, ACV, Kombucha. Yes that’s right! Put them in your bath. . . Soups and Stews Remember a good homemade chicken soup can be the best things to consume as the weather starts to cool down, and the top of my list when it comes to feeding my family. And there is so much you can add into a chicken soup from a herbal and nutritional point of view. . *** and again I have an awesome recipe that I use with my family in my herbal online tea course and in the Naturopathic Life Membership. . . Naturopathic Life Membership --->>> http://bit.ly/2PjAtCi . . And above all of this... check in with your health care providers about the best ways to support YOUR immune system during this time... because this is just general information and it doesn't take into consideration your personal health state. . . --->>> And I offer online consults 4 days a week, so you can see me in the comfort of your own home, I can organise your natural medicine script online, so it can be posted to you! www.familyhealthnaturally.com.au/appointments Use this time to start taking action on your health goals and make 2020 the best year yet for you caring for you. Much Love and Many Blessings Christina

16.01.2022 Late last year I read somehwere about twice cooked biscuits. Made them and yum, but lost the recipe. Well last night I made fathead dough for pizza bases and then mixed in some baking powder. https://www.dietdoctor.com/recipes/fat-head-pizza... So make the basic dough but add 1 tsp 2 servings. Roll into a basic log shape and cook on 180' for about 20 min. Let cool totally. Slice thin and put single layer on a baking tray and rebake 120' until crunchy. 30min or mire depending on slice thickness.

16.01.2022 We have no stove or oven for another week at home. So tonight's dinner was poached chicken lettuce wraps. INSTANT POT Add a whole chicken and just cover with water. Put on High Manual pressure for 2min.... Let it naturally depressure. By the time it's ready to open the chicken is cooked. Juicy and yum. I shredded by hand, served on lettuce leaves, with cheese, tomato and chilli and blue cheese sauce. Mmmmmmm

06.01.2022 Like always but particularity now your health is important to me. I have now completed the government's COVID19 education training. On top of this among other things I complete yearly hand hygiene courses.

06.01.2022 Just as what we need to eat changes so does a baby's. A mother's body (for most babies, and for most mums. Like everything ine size does NOT fit all) does an awesome job supplying everything your baby needs and at the right time. The other one i remember from my expresaing days and honestly freaking out a little was the 'creaminess' changing as well. After some research found that milk produced on a hot day will look watered down where a cold day everning was thicker.

03.01.2022 Wow whoever thought you could eat pumpkin leaves. Don't know about you but I've managed to grow more leaves then pumpkins this year, so will be trying this out.

Etc WHAT ARE SOME QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE? OR OLD WIFES TALES YOU HAVE HEARD THAT YOU WANT TO KNOW ARE TRUE OR NOT?
