My dad used to make it a lot when I was younger, its a great example of cucina povera (peasant cooking), where dishes features produce that were foraged or easily and cheaply available locally. 02.01.2022 A gorgeous friend gave me some pure cacao blocks from the Philippines so I decided to create this delectable gluten, dairy, egg, refined sugar free chocolate cake. The base is made out of dates and walnuts, for the top Ive melted the pure cacao in coconut cream and Ive added just enough coconut sugar to make it slightly sweet (pure cacao tastes bitter).
