19.01.2022 #RemoteLearning #scones Ingredients - 2 cups self-raising flour - 2 tablespoons butter... - 200 ml milk - Optional: dried fruit, spices, herbs, nuts, cheese, chocolate chips Method 1. Preheat oven to 220c 2. Sift flour into a large bowl. 3. Using finger tips rub butter into the flour until there are no lumps. (If you are making fruit or savoury scones add the additional ingredients to the flour). 4. Gradually mix in most of the milk using a wooden spoon. Add the rest of the milk if the dough is not combined. The dough should form a ball Witt all the mixture stick together. 5. Place dough into a flighty floured board and knead the dough four times. 6. Roll out dough to 2cm thick and cut as many scones as you can from the dough with a scone cutter. Use all the dough by following the process. 7. Bake in the oven for approx. 10-15 minutes. 8. Serve with cream and jam.

Students are ready to produce morning tea or afternoon tea for Mother’s Day tomorrow Ingredients:... 2C Self-rising Flour 2TBS Margarine/Butter 200ml Milk Optional additional ingredients: herbs, cheese, choc chips, dried fruit, spices etc. Method: 1. Preheat oven to 220 degrees celsius. 2. Sift flour into large bowl. 3. Using fingertips rub the butter into the flour until there are no lumps. 4. If making sweet or savoury scones add additional ingredients to flour. 5. Gradually add some milk into the centre and mix to form a small dough. Add the rest of the milk to combine the dough. 6. Place flour onto a lightly floured board and kneed the dough approx 4 times. 7. Roll dough to approx 2cm thick. 8. Cut as many scones as you can using all the dough. 9. Place onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. 10. Bake for approximately 15 minutes. 11. Serve with jam & cream Happy Mother’s Day to all, enjoy! #scones

10.01.2022 ANZAC BISCUITS Week 2 of remote learning. In year 8 Food Studies we discussed the history of ANZAC biscuits, I demonstrated how to modify the recipe to make it healthier and then some students cooked alongside me and made their own ANZAC biscuits at home (with parent permission & supervision). We were able to substitute ingredients as needed to produce some delicious treats during home isolation for families who gave students’ biscuits a #anzacbiscuits #remotelearning #remoteteaching
