25.01.2022 DESSERTS | back in September 2019 Daniel and Meg got hitched! This was only about a seventh of the desserts for their wedding! The desserts included panna cotta, mini sticky date, lemon meringue tarts and Nutella cheesecakes The other two hundred and something desserts I set up on a custom made dessert wall which a family member had constructed - talented! 24.01.2022 SILLY SEASON / hello guys! I just wanted to remind everyone that heading into this incredibly busy season of the year it is very important to be on time for your pickups! For all orders, whether it is for custom orders, teacher gifts or Christmas treats, I will send you a message or an email to confirm a pickup time and I will ALWAYS check if this time is okay for you. If it is not, we will schedule another time that suits better for both of us! I also understand that life ha...ppens but a heads up if you can’t make it is VERY appreciated! This month is always a busy one for everyone, but it is especially busy for me this year (with business and personal commitments) so being on time for your pickup is paramount. I have some little trips planned in December and also have some appointments booked as well as other events happening so if I have already set a time for pickups it is most likely because I won’t be available before or after that time. I really want to just take a minute thank everyone who has supported my business this year. It has truly boomed, and has most definitely been the busiest year I’ve ever had. This has given me the ability to make this (as of this week!) my SOLE job! I am living in a dream! Thank you thank you thank you! Caitlyn x

23.01.2022 PINK MONTH / as Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close let’s remember all the brave women and men out there who’ve had to survive and endure some incredibly difficult times with breast cancer. I personally know a few so I am glad I was able to help the beautiful ladies of Dubbo Goochies Hair Design with this order of 650 cookies to raise awareness and money for breast cancer, and also Donna of the Groovy Booby Bus with her cookie order! Thanks so much girls! You are all wonderful women and we are all so lucky to have you!

22.01.2022 TEACHER COOKIES / This year has been an absolute tornado to say the least! But we’ve managed to get this far, and somehow so have our amazing teachers! To say an unbelievably well-deserved thank you (especially this year for being some of the bravest among us) I am doing teacher gifts again! Included are 3 of my signature sugar cookies packed in beautiful display boxes and stamped and decorated as pictured.... Pickup will be strictly from 3-5pm on Monday 7th December 2020. 22.01.2022 DIY GINGERBREAD HOUSE KITS / Get ready for a couple of hours of fun this Christmas! This kit includes: 1 x base board (marked with edible ink) 2 x gingerbread roof panels 2 x gingerbread side walls 1 x gingerbread front wall 1 x gingerbread back wall 2 x piping bags filled with royal icing 1 x instruction card fondant door and windows to decorate All gingerbread pieces are marked with edible ink so you know which piece is which. The instruction card will take you through step by step on how to build your gingerbread house but you will also receive a link and a secret password to my website where there are photos of each stage to make the building process a little easier! 21.01.2022 TODAY IS THE INTERNATIONAL ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN DAY / In Australia: - 1 woman a week is killed by her former or current partner - 1 in 3 women *before the age of 15* have experienced sexual or physical violence from a male ... - 1 in 4 women have experienced sexual, physical or emotional abuse from their own partner - Indigenous women are 32 times more likely to experience violence by a family member or partner - Women with disabilities are at much higher risk of experiencing sexual or physical violence - The most dangerous time in an abusive relationship is when you are leaving the relationship These statistics disgust me and they should disgust you as well. More than that, they are just the tip of the iceberg If you have suffered violence and need help or know someone who has/is experiencing it, please call 1800RESPECT. This hotline will give you advice and strategies to keep you or your loved ones safe and ensure the right steps are taken to prevent any further danger. If your first thought reading this post though is to try and justify your violent actions or anyone else’s, you need to speak to a counsellor and seek help. It will most likely save a life.

19.01.2022 DEMARI IS 3 / it has become a little tradition for Demari’s family to get their birthday cakes from me and I’ve made all of Demari’s birthday cakes since her very first birthday! I swear they just get cuter every year! (Thanks mum and dad for the cutest cake ideas!) The second photo is the sketch or the bones of this cake before it actually becomes a cake! I will often do these rough sketches for a couple of reasons. 1. If I haven’t made a cake before with this design I can... draw first to make sure all the elements and colours will come together 2. If the client ordering the cake wants to see their/my ideas come to life to make sure they are happy this is a great way to do that! Granted I’m very rough at the sketching but it’s always a good way to predict what the cake will look like - but of course much more refined in my case Happy 3rd Birthday Demari!

There are many things that can be said of Trump (and absolutely none of them are positive) but I think one of the most important things we can take away from this chapter is that when you spread fear and hatred of a culture, sexual orientation, gender, religion or otherwise, people’s hope, freedom and lives can be and have been lo...st. To lead the BIGGEST democratic country in the world off the basis of hatred and fear is the most dangerous and irresponsible thing that could be done because it teaches the younger generation that this is okay to hate those who are different - and let me be clear, we have NO RIGHT. We can all laugh and poke fun at Trump’s supporters for their choice to follow this narcissist but at the end of the day people’s lives have been lost because of his inaction to lead in a responsible way and this is the most devastating part that must not be forgotten. So let’s not forget this chapter, but instead let’s grow from it and help Joe Biden and Kamala Harris lead the world into a better, brighter, safer place. Now for the good bit! 06.01.2022 2021 BOOKINGS / as 2020 is coming to an end a lot of people have started to think about January bookings! I am now booked out till next year and will not be responding to any enquiries from the 24th December to the 11th January as I’ll be taking an incredibly needed break. This brings me to 2021 bookings. 04.01.2022 CHRISTMAS ORDER PICKUPS / it’s getting very close to Christmas order pick up time and Poe is well and truly getting into the spirit! On the weekend my mum and Poe went to @petbarn to get this photo with Mrs Claus as a surprise for Dylan and I - cutest thing EVER So for Christmas pickups all info is below! You’ll receive an email on Wednesday with pickup information / address. If you do not receive an email by 11am PLEASE message me! Pickups will be in between 9-11am ...on Thursday the 24th December. I will not be available after this time for pickups so if you don’t pickup before 11am I will not be issuing refunds for any items that are not picked up! When you get to the door, please ring the doorbell, let me know the name for the order and wait outside while your order is collected. If you arrive at the same time as someone else, please social distance to keep each other safe. Remember, please check your emails (sometimes these emails land in junk so make sure you check that too!) If you cannot make this time slot, please message me as soon as you can to arrange an earlier time to make sure you collect your treats! Other than that, I think that is it!
