25.01.2022 WE FARMERS Today is National Agriculture Day #AgDayAU where we take the time to show our deepest gratitude to our Australian farming community. Our farmers donate delicious fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, grain, dairy and protein to Foodbank year-round to help adults and children going hungry across the country. Aussie farmers also donate ingredients for our vital Collaborative Supply Programs, helping us proactively produce our most-needed items with the support of manufac...turers. Today and every day we celebrate the generosity, hard work and commitment of our rural farming communities. Despite devastating droughts, floods, a global pandemic and massive market upheaval, they continue to join us in the fight against hunger. THANK YOU! #ilovefarmers #foodbank #endhunger #AusAg (no food was wasted in the making of this video)

21.01.2022 What a day the team at Foodbank Victoria has had! They would give the crew at The Block a run for their money- getting this space in Melbourne CBD only last week and turning it around in record time, thanks to the team at Coles, to ensure international students from surrounding colleges and universities had access to fresh produce and culturally-sensitive food. The Foodbank Hunger Report 2020 revealed that 39% charities have seen an increase in the number of international students seeking food relief since the pandemic hit our shores. This Food Pantry will be open five days a week in Melbourne CBD, to help this vulnerable group through these tough times.

17.01.2022 According to a recent Planet Ark report, Australians consume around 6 billion coffees per year with the coffee waste going straight to landfill almost immediately. In South Australia, Neutrog an innovative manufacturer of certified organic fertilisers has launched its Human Beans Grounds For Good project, an environmental initiative to convert coffee waste into fertiliser ready to be sold in retail outlets with a portion of the proceeds donated to Foodbank SA to hel...p families in need. So if you're in SA enjoying a coffee, you might not only be helping someone's garden but you could also be putting a meal on someone's table. #Thankyou To find our more, head to www.foodbank.org.au/SA/humanbeans #ZeroHunger #Coffee #WarOnWasteAU #Gardening #HumanBeans #GroundsForGood

09.01.2022 Happy World Pasta Day! This pantry staple is a much loved part of the Foodbank family, and we have great local businesses manufacturing it just for us here in Australia. For more than a decade, Rinoldi and Vetta Pasta have been proudly partnering with Foodbank to get much needed pasta onto the plates of people doing it tough. 2020 has been a particularly challenging time for many, and the team at Rinoldi have helped us enormously by producing more than 50 tonnes of pasta ...since January, enough to provide 91,000 meals! But it’s not just Rinoldi providing the penne, it’s a great team effort with our partners The Manildra Group, Allied Pinnacle, and generous Aussie farmers helping serve up spaghetti for people in need. A big thank you to all our fettucine fans for helping us #endhunger in Australia. #zerohunger #foodbank #pastaprogram #worldpastaday #charity #givingback #partnerships

07.01.2022 Thank you Lisa Messenger! In a year that has shaped up to be one of challenges and many hurdles, one thing is for sure, we have made some great friends and felt very supported. When bushfires ravaged thousands of communities around our country, the lovely Lisa Messenger rallied her amazing followers to get behind us to raise funds and source key essential items so we could distribute to those in need urgently.... Lisa has yet again gone above and beyond for us, donating 12 huge pallets filled with thousands of copies of three of her best sellers - 'Breakups & Breakthrough', 'Money & Mindfulness' and ;'Life & Love'. These books at Foodbank NSW & ACTwill be distributed to charity agencies right around Australia just in time for Christmas.
