24.01.2022 A huge thank you to Stuart Churton, Managing Director, Zambrero for organising Zambrero Drive Thru Donations for Foodbank Tasmania. It just goes to show how generous Tasmanians are when we band together to help those in need. Thank you to everyone who donated food which will go to our vulnerable Tasmanians and thank you Stuart for organising such a wonderful event.

18.01.2022 Emerging Cohort Temporary Visa Holders - Agency Show Hope (Wellspring Anglican Church) in Sandy Bay is now serving just under 600 people a week, primarily international students and temporary visa holders. They are seeing an increase of around 35 to 50 people weekly and are actually planning for the September/October rise in demand across our community, based on the anticipated rollback of those Govt. funding schemes.

These donations were collected acros...s just 3 weeks and even though this has been a challenging and uncertain time for everyone it is incredible to see the outpouring of community support. There is still time to donate! You can find our donation point outside the checkouts at Coles in Kings Meadows until July 9th.

09.01.2022 The Federal Group 560 boxes of special treats have been donated to Foodbank by Wrest Point Hobart (Federal Group). These include a mix of petit fours such as brownies, tiramisu, carrot cakes, lemon meringue tarts, chocolate mousse cups and mini quiches created by Wrest Point’s pastry chefs. Everyone deserves a sweet treat now and again, after all! Thank you for your donation, pictured are the hard working people.

01.01.2022 Inspired by the efforts of Wrest Point Hotel Chefs who cooked 150 family meals for Foodbank in March, Federal Group staff have banded together in a community cook-up to produce 100 more family meals for those who need them most. The meals were delivered to Foodbank Friday 8th May 2020 along with more than 1000 bread rolls. Pictured is Frances and Susie - thank you so much, the donation will certainly help our struggling Tasmanians, what an amazing effort - a huge thank you to all who prepared the meals.
