25.01.2022 So bear with me on this one. Apparently, there's a thing called the Solomon Paradox. Psychologists have found that we are (all) much better at giving advice to others than taking it from ourselves. According to psychologist Ethan Kross, if we really want to change our actions, we should change the inner voice, and try speaking to ourselves in the way we would give advice to someone else. So instead of saying "I don't need an extra slice of fruit cake, try " Judy (insert yo...ur own name here) why don't you stick to just the one-piece "? Pity I hadn't written that before lunch #healthyeating #weightloss #psychology #thefoodcoachcourses #5and2 #thefoodcoachcourses #5and2 #weightloss #psychology #healthyeating

02.01.2022 Today I was thinking about: A:) compared to so many countries, how lucky we are to have escaped the worst of Covid. B:) how much longer it may be before we can travel overseas again C:) how to overcome this low-level boredom so many of us are suffering from, with no international travel in the foreseeable future. ... And so how about we play a game; to eat foods you haven't eaten in a long time. The only proviso is that the food has to be healthy. In this week's Market fresh report, brought to you by Sydney Markets, three foods I don't commonly eat include persimmon, custard apples, and chestnuts.
