25.01.2022 Food for thought about grace: Grace in all its forms is always the unmerited, undeserved and unearned kindness and favour of God. Common grace, saving grace, sanctifying grace, enabling grace, sustaining grace, are all unmerited, undeserved and unearned kindness and favour of God. There is a distinction to be drawn between what grace is and what grace does. One aspect of grace is that it does divinely enable us to live a new life in Christ.... Unmerited means (Eph 2:8-9) a gift of God. It is the nail prints in his hands that gets us to heaven. Fathers bestow grace. Undeserved (Rom 3:24) Being justified freely (undeservedly) by his grace (charis - har-reece) The cultural meaning of charis predates Scriptural use and is a benevolent gift from a superior to an inferior. It involves three persons Patron (giver), Client (receiver) and Broker (paid for the merchandise). Our Heavenly Father is the giver of grace, we are its receiver, Christ is our broker. Jesus paid the cost of grace in full. Unearned means (Rom 11:6) and if by grace, then it is no longer works, otherwise grace is no longer grace, and if it’s works, it's no longer grace. Paraphrased, if its free, it's not earned, otherwise free is not free, if it's earned, it's not free, otherwise earned is not earned.

24.01.2022 We all have Three seats in our heart. Love, fear and selfish ambition. Everything we think, do or say can be placed on one of these three seats. Things we refuse to do or don't do can also be placed on one of these three seats. Our goal should be to do everything from the seat of love.

22.01.2022 If love is the most powerful force for good in the world, then selfishness is the most destructive.

19.01.2022 Only God's Word can feed our spirit man. If you are not reading Gid's Word then you are starving and mal-nourished. Think about it.

19.01.2022 We are all three-part brings, spirit, soul and body. It is not enough to simply feed and exercise the body. We must feed and exercise our spirit and bring wholeness to our soul. Food for Thought is a way to work-out in your spirit and soul realm.

15.01.2022 Everything we say or do begins with a thought. Every emotion we experience begins with a thought. When we take control of our thoughts we take control of our life and our destiny. What we feed our inmost being with will determine how we think. We need good thought food. Take your food for thought today.

14.01.2022 Food for Thought: Selfishness is never justified.

13.01.2022 We are not our thoughts. We have the capability to view our thoughts and to choose which thoughts to consider and which thoughts to reject. The way in which we manage our thought life will determine the emotions we experience and the quality of our life.

11.01.2022 Have you thought about the big picture lately?

04.01.2022 I am a spirit. I have a soul and I live in a body that connects me with a physical world. I feed my body, I feed my soul and I also need to feed me; the real me; the spirit me.

04.01.2022 Food for Thought is one year old.

03.01.2022 Dr Caroline Leaf explains: We merge with our environments because of the plasticity of our brainsessentially, our brains respond to our minds (our thinking/feeling/choosing). How we react to the circumstances of life, and whatever we focus on the most, will be wired into our brains and influence our mental and physical health, which in turn impacts our ability to recall information. We need to pay attention to our external and internal (thought) environments, because if we keep focusing on our toxic thoughts, they grow and damage the brainmemory issues are just one of the problems that can occur when we don’t pay attention to our thinking.

03.01.2022 The physical food we eat has an impact on our brain function. The things we feed our eyes and ears have an impact on our brain function too. We need to feed on things that edify, encourage, strengthen and develop faith.

02.01.2022 Pride and selfishness go hand-in-hand. They both look after number-one first. Both practice idolatry - worship of self.
