22.01.2022 Fruit Chaat We love the surprised looks we get when someone takes the first bite of our traditional fruit salad called ‘fruit chaat’. It is a pleasant surprise when the seasoning that we add enhances the flavours of the fruits making it unique and enticing. A plate of fruit chaat is very refreshing and that is why it is a staple during fasting month but, being one of our favourites, we make it often depending on what fruits are available. The beautiful colours and the fusion ...of flavours makes this dish a star on the table and hard one to resist. 19.01.2022 When we got married, Mrs. used to be baffled by how every conversation in my family revolved around food. Not just planning our breakfast, lunch or dinner, she was amazed at how memories and anticipation of seasons, people, places, events were all food related. We loved a season for the foods that it would bring, we reminisced a well-cooked dish served at a certain event. The excitement level of an outing or a trip was also dependant on food. She looked at food differently .... for her cooking was a routine task, a chore that she had to do. Food was a part of her plans but, not the focus. For me, it was an experience and I enjoyed the whole process. After years of being together, I am quite proud to say my love for food has won. I convinced her that food makes the world go round.
