22.01.2022 Yesterday members of the Food & Agri Network (FAN) came out to the studio for a visit. Sally a member of the FAN Advisory Group and producer of Sunnyspot brought some beautiful avocados to play with. There is nothing pretentious and over the top in fact it is one of the most comfortable places you can go. BONUS you can take your furry friends as well! 16.01.2022 Do you know who this man is? . . . This is the amazing Stephen Simon from Downs Hospitality and Training. He has been a part of our Toowoomba food scene since the mid 80s and now is imparting his industry knowledge to many students.... He is also our chef at the Learn to Make Pasta with Foodie Shots 30 of you have managed to purchase the tickets to this years event and we are in for a treat out at Bunnyconnellen conducting the class in the gardens surrounded by all the fresh herbs and Vegies. Do you have any questions for Stephen? He is always happy to help teach people new tips and hints about food.

The beautiful Merly from Wild Sage Boutique Designs has stepped up and started to get her gorgeous designs professionally photographed for her website. This means so much to Merly as it means she is serious about her business. Its more than a hobby. Its her passion and her skills are top notch. ... I said to her gee I wish I had little ones still.... then I said oooops no I dont lol. But seriously if you have little ones check out her page and website. Absolutely gorgeous and different. More importantly...made with love.

13.01.2022 Here is a little inside view of my world. My garden a vegies are important to me. Helping to promote organic life for the bees and my chooks. I dug in a whole lot of cow manure and soil on the weekend and thanks to Jen Muggleton I have a range of seedlings. Love this time of year when growth is everywhere

11.01.2022 This week has certainly proved that business is a juggling act. I have been grateful for all the opportunities this week has provided from the mentorship I gained from a very respected business person Mary Reid to the chance to win an award at the AusMumpreneurs Awards in the Creative Arts category. However with a focus on a few other things, I have been struggling to keep up with all the little bits and pieces that make a business run in the background let alone fami...ly life in general. The invoicing, the emails, the leads the messages, the accounting. I even have a little bit of FOMO. Okay I admit it. I am missing out on a lunch with some beautiful ladies in business this Friday BUT I have made the decision to clear my desk and have a weekend away with my husband. 09.01.2022 Happy to report we now have a COVID WHS plan in place thanks to OHS Compliance Solutions to help re assure all our beautiful clients and customers when they come to the studio or participate in an event, we are applying industry standard policies. Also I have created a digital form to prevent the sharing of pens and the traditional paper form. 09.01.2022 This year has been a tad challenging in terms of trying to plan anything. I am all for changes and learning to adapt but I am really feeling for everyone who has functions and events. One of Foodie Shots clients Monkey Business Catering has recently created a huge gallery of images for their future menus and events. ... The amazing team has everything covered for small and large events. Each team member works together to create amazing catered events. Just look at this table. I can tell you even the chairs are all lined up and positioned just perfectly. The distance between the plates and the napkins are considered for perfect presentation. We havent even started to look at the food. I can smell it in the kitchen and it is making me hungry. I will leave you to only imagine the glorious smells. So right now if you have a function you need catering for consider this locally family owned business. Support local Buy local Be a good local.

06.01.2022 We have some amazing people in our community. I have recently been delighted to capture the stories of many people in our food and hospitality industry. Getting to see their true passion and what drives them makes me happy. Here you can tell Stephen from Downs Hospitality and Training is thoroughly enjoying teaching his students. When you have a teacher who enjoys their craft it makes the learning experience all the more worthwhile. We will be creating another story next week and it is one that just gives me goosebumps.

05.01.2022 You may have noticed I have been a little bit quiet of late. All is good, actually it is great! I am in the last couple of weeks of my cert 4 training and assessment (it is easier to do a masters). AusMumpreneur Awards are also on Wednesday night so we will all know soon what this amazing journey of being nominated and then becoming a finalist means. Either way these last couple of weeks writing and preparing have really allowed me to focus on what Foodie Shots is. The ama...zing women I have connected with is such a gift. I always say there is lots to learn. We have been getting more gardening done in prep for a few show and tells of the studio. This Friday we have some members of Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce to see how we can help other members. Then the following Friday we are hosting Highfields & District Business Connections In the background some are receiving my Foodie Bites newsletter. If you want to be on that list let me know. 05.01.2022 Do you remember me creating a bar scene in the studio a little while back. Well I had to wait to clear some time for my personal projects. . . . Today I rewarded myself as I delivered two client galleries today and I thought I could have a little fun. ... Now most of you no I do predominantly bright and airy images, however there is something beautiful and comforting about dark and moody. The quality of this little drop Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey Single Barrel Rye is apparently amazing...according to Sonny anyway. What I loved was the amber colouring and the beautiful presentation. If you remember I had been sourcing bits and pieces for about 3 months...the chair, the golden mirrored tray I even knew I would create this shot when painting the studio walls. So it has all come together in this one image. That is probably why it means so much to me. It has taken a lot of thought, consideration of props and the numerous types of lighting to compile the image. Yep this is fun for me. Pushing my technical skills and playing in spaces that make me think. I wouldnt call it living on the edge but hey it tickles my fancy. I wonder what Jack has to say about it? Have I done it justice...lets see hey?

The opportunity to hightlight the stamped logo and represent the colours of these gorgeous soaps was the key. So proud of working with another amazing local business going places
