25.01.2022 This is a fantastic quote from the super knowledgeable guys (Robbie and Cyrus) at Mastering Diabetes. Fruit heals humans I healed myself from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome by eating just fruits and salads and had mind boggling energy after eating this way for just 3 days. ... Fruit is loaded with fructose (which is easily converted to glucose to provide all of your cells with energy during digestion) lots of water , super duper important fibre to feed your 38 trillion gut bacteria and keep them happy so they keep you healthy and many, different phytonutrients which are very important for optimal health. Eat as much fruit as you like and eliminate all animal products, processed foods and oil, salt and refined sugars and chemicals and you will be super energetic and enjoy optimal health. Go get fruited

25.01.2022 Fruit So many people are confused about fruit and how much you should be eating? Can you eat too much? ... Isn’t it full of sugar? Surely you can’t have it for a whole meal?? Well the answers are simple. No you cannot eat too much fruit It’s full of fructose (which is not refined sugar) and comes packaged with antioxidants and phytonutrients and fibre - very important for a healthy immune system You can ABSOLUTELY eat fruit for an entire meal... the more the better! #eatfruit #wfpbno #wholefoodplantbased #plantsheal #themorefruitthebetter

24.01.2022 Having watched the Rich Roll podcast with Dr B earlier today (shared in our last post), it inspired us to try to eat a wider range of plants each day / week. So....... We made a couple of very large bowls of coleslaw with curly kale, red cabbage, green cabbage, carrots kohlrabi, fennel, coriander, and spring onions. ... We dressed the coleslaw that we had for lunch with a creamy dressing made from blended raw cashews, a whole skinned lime, mustard and medjool dates and water. Inspired by Christine Higgs and Shania Higgs, Lizzie also made some cauliflower hot wings. These were small chunks of cauliflower coated in a batter of blended: tomato paste, chickpea flour, almond flour, my homemade Siracha hot sauce, medjool dates, garlic and onion powder, Sumac, cumin, coriander powder, dry parsley and Dr Gregers savoury spice mix and water and then dry baked on baking paper at 200 C for 30 minutes. To make sure we consumed enough calories we also had some baked potatoes coated in Dr Gregers savoury mix. So all up, for lunch alone, we ate at least 25 different plants with different fibres in them to keep our 38 trillion (according to Dr B, The Gut Health MD ), our gut bacteria are having an absolute party How many plants did you eat today???

24.01.2022 An excellent quote from Dr Alan Desmond from the UK. See his additional comments in the photos below. Dairy is not in any way healthy for humans (its perfect for baby cows though!!). In fact it is extremely unhealthy for humans. For further information check out this link https://www.pcrm.org//nutritio/health-concerns-about-dairy and other information on the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) webpage.... Also check out this excellent video about the dairy industry https://youtu.be/UcN7SGGoCNI

24.01.2022 Animal protein and bone density. How does consuming animal protein (that’s any animal flesh, any dairy product or eggs) affect bone density? High-protein diets especially protein of animal foods can cause the body to excrete more calcium than it gets. ... Because our bodies need calcium to regulate many different functions, such as the functioning of our muscles and nerves, the deficit caused by too much protein causes the body to withdraw more calcium from our main calcium reserve banks our bones, which become increasingly more fragile as calcium is removed from them. - T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies https://nutritionstudies.org/china-report-osteoporosis/ How do we stop this from happening ?? Simple. Start consuming your protein from plant based sources. Which plants have protein you ask??? ALL OF THEM!!

23.01.2022 Fantastic live presentation from Shukul Kachwalla from High Carb Health on gut health and gut healing

23.01.2022 Unfortunately most of our doctors are not taught about the cause of chronic diseases. They are taught to identify symptoms of chronic diseases and then to prescribe an appropriate drug to manage the symptoms. They are also generally not taught about nutrition and poor nutrition is usually the cause of most chronic diseases. Essentially then, our doctors are taught to manage diseases which means that if you have a chronic illness, you are often likely to be told that you a...re on a certain drug(s)for life. Of course, this is what Big Pharma want and like, because it keeps their bank accounts swelling forever. From our experience, drugs generally do not heal or reverse disease, they just dull the symptoms and we continue to stay sick - hence, the term sickness care because we are maintaining people in sickness. If you want to treat and actually reverse chronic diseases - generally caused by poor nutrition- then you can achieve this by feeding your body the food that it needs to restore great health. This magic food is as simple as just eating a diet of whole plant foods without oil, salt and refined sugar and void of chemicals- lots of fruits and vegetables and whole grains and legumes and a small amount of nuts and seeds. This is true health care!! If you want any help or guidance on how to restore your body to magnificent health, please feel free to reach out to Lizzie and I. Wed be happy to put you on the right path.

22.01.2022 This is wonderful Team Sherzai M.D. Thankyou for sharing this information. This is what the science says about brain health and cognition. Please read so you can understand what the science says about how to prevent brain diseases like Alzheimers.

22.01.2022 A fantastic message from the super knowledgeable guys at Mastering Diabetes - Cyrus and Robbie. T2 Diabetes is generally caused by eating a high fat diet - most often by eating our friends: cows sheep pigs chickens fish and any other sentient beings and processed CRAP (calorie rich and processed) foods as well as oils of any kind. The good news is that T2 diabetes can generally be fully reversed by simply eliminating these high fat foods and swapping them for low... fat unprocessed whole plant foods without oil, salt and refined sugar and free of chemicals. By making this simple change you can also prevent and reverse heart disease and many other chronic diseases of affluence like gout, arthritis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, IBS many kidney and liver diseases. You will also dramatically reduce your chances of developing cancers and dementia/Alzheimer’s or even cease their onset and maybe even reverse these conditions. Nothing to lose. Everything to gain. Such a simple change. Why not??

22.01.2022 Todays delicious and nutritious lunch after an 11km walk (which I do most days) in the beautiful Perth winter sunshine A very colourful salad with baby spinach and baby beet greens, red onion, carrot, cherry tomato prunes (we get the Verity brand- they are the only ones that we have found which are completely additive/ chemical free)and some homemade pickle beetroot and jalapeños all drizzled in 3:2:1 dressing. Delicious BUT... you cant survive on salad alone,... so to ensure that I had enough calories to fuel my afternoon I had a serving of Lizzies delicious cheesey (we shared a post / recipe for this recently- made from vegetables and nooch - no cow pus cheese around here!!) pasta bake which contains even more leafy greens and broccoli , green peas and mushrooms Fully satiated!! Now for a busy afternoon.....

21.01.2022 Sunday Roast with gravy!! This was lip smacking good. Roasted potatoes sweet potatoes onions capsicum, mushrooms zucchini with some steamed peas and broccoli and some delicious gravy.... The plate got licked, it was that good. Super simple, super tasty, super healthy, super delicious and no one got harmed for this dinner. No oil, no salt, no sugar, no chemicals and no animal products were used. Dishes = very few were made and they rinse off in cold water without soap Life is so much simpler eating WFPBSOSCF. Give it a try and find out how amazing you can feel.

21.01.2022 Another awesome recovery story from our friend Peter Burnell (Petes Heart Story) ... who had (nearly) succumbed to the diet we were all told throughout our lives, is healthy. Diagnosed the cardiovascular disease and type two diabetes, listen to the Corinne Nijjer podcast to see how he turns his life around.. https://www.corinnenijjer.com//episode-150-peter-burrell-h

20.01.2022 And while we are talking about ageing backwards, check out Ricki Coughlan. She’s doing awfully well at the young age of 63. Thanks for letting us share your post Ricki: I'm turning 63 years this year Plant-based since 1974 Wholefood Vegan since 1993 No drugs, alcohol, coffee, etc., since 1980. I've run or lifted weights most days since 1982. I drink only water and herbal tea. Still waiting for protein deficiency to kick in Don't argue #GoVegan #plantbased

20.01.2022 Who doesnt love a dish of loaded nachos? This recipe is a meal in and of itself and it is dietitian/mom-approved and family-tested for optimal deliciousness by the Plant-Based Dietitian Julieanna Hever

19.01.2022 If you have Lupus, and you dont want to have it any more, heres some inspiration from a lady who healed her Lupus using a whole foods plant based diet... fantastic!!!!

18.01.2022 While its true that dairy milk contains calcium, it is not in a form that is beneficial to humans due to the acidic environment that milk and any animal proteins create in our bodies. This is clearly evidenced by multiple scientific studies, including The China Study by Dr.T. Colin Campbell. People around the world that consume the most dairy products, have the weakest bones (highest levels of osteoporosis) compared to those that consume none, such as in Japan and rural... China. This is because our bodies attempt to neutralize the acidic effect by actually leaching calcium from our own bones (you essentially end up urinating out this calcium from your bones ). If you just eat enough calories from a wide variety of whole plant foods without oil, salt and refined sugar and free of chemicals, you will get all the calcium you need Simple

17.01.2022 So we had a very yummy lunch yesterday.... I made some beetroot hummus to have on some tempeh, tomato , roasted capsicum, spinach, onion , mushroom toasties. The bread is capeseed loaf from Bakers Delight, which we have only occasionally. Beetroot hummus * 2 cans of drained cooked chickpeas... * 1 garlic clove * 1 tbsp tahini * 1/2 - 1 small cooked beetroot * 1 -2 tbsp water for consistency * 1 whole lime (peeled) * 2 dates Blend everything in a food processor or thermomix until smooth It was delicious Made with some potato chiplets too

17.01.2022 Did you know that if you have chronic diseases like Crohns disease, type 2 diabetes, ulcerative colitis, chronic fatigue syndrome, heart disease, chronic kidney diseases, chronic and rheumatoid arthritis, etc, etc and that if you eat the RIGHT food, then your body can heal or reverse these diseases? So what is the RIGHT food? Well its JUST plants . Thats it!!! Not extracts from plants like oil and refined sugars, not plants with added chemicals, not parts of plants reco...nstituted into pill, not processed plant foods with added oil, salt and refined sugars and definitely not animal products of any kind. In fact the body is an amazing self healing machine if you give it the right conditions. BUT, if you choose to eat the WRONG foods, like animal products, processed foods, oil, salt and refined sugars then you are very likely to CAUSE chronic diseases within your body. You might not notice these on day 1, maybe not even after 10 years, but if you persist, then it is very likely that you will eventually develop one of these lifestyle diseases, and dramatically reduce the quality and probably the length of your life. The great news is, that its never, ever too late to change and even after decades of damaging your body, if you start following a whole plant food lifestyle without oil, salt and refined sugars and free of chemicals, then your body will commence the healing process. Why not give it a try? What do you have to lose?

16.01.2022 Did you ever really think about dairy products and how they are produced?? Neither did I until I was 46yo!! I used to think that there were special cows that produce milk. Im a reasonably well educated person, yet I never made the connection that cows are mammals and female mammals only lactate after they give birth. If you are interested to know more I suggest that you watch Dairy is Scary ... https://youtu.be/UcN7SGGoCNI by the wonderful Erin Janus, which is an interesting short video about what really happens in the dairy industry. Aside from that, if you think about it; humans are the ONLY animals on earth that suckle from another animal, and what is worse is that we do this after our infancy and into adulthood. Dont you think that this is weird? If you cannot picture yourself doing what the lady in the image below is doing, then you probably shouldnt be buying dairy milk, cream, cheese, yogurt and ice cream in neat packages at the supermarket. If you are consuming these products, then you are essentially suckling from the teat of a cow. This is extremely disturbing Regarding the nutritional aspects, dairy foods are amongst the most toxic on earth. They are certainly the foods that we recommend to give up first!! Dairy milk is designed to grow a small calf into a big , quickly. It is not at all designed for much smaller human animals (our mothers milk is though!). The nutrient profile is definitely not suited to us. Do yourself a huge favour and stay well away from all dairy products. They are toxic These days there are many much healthier plant based alternatives to all of the dairy products that exist. Give them a try.

16.01.2022 This is us when someone tells us that fruit has too much sugar in it Sure fruit has plenty of fructose in it, its where fructose comes from in nature, BUT... Fruit comes very healthfully packaged with lots of water and plenty of fibre, heaps of antioxidants and fruit is chockas with phytonutrients. Fruit is one of the healthiest foods on the planet - most people know that!! I healed my body in 3 days from having chronic fatigue syndrome for the previous 2 years, simply by eating fruit!! Fruit makes you feel fantastic and it gives you heaps of energy and in particular if we are trying to help people to heal from fatigue issues then we always encourage them to eat fruit for breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacks in between!! Eat as much fruit as you can

16.01.2022 Our absolutely delicious dinner Cheesy whole-wheat pasta bake with peas, zucchini, broccoli, beet greens and mushrooms with a delicious creamy cheesy sauce and a green salad with home made picked beetroot and balsamic, maple and mustard 3-2-1 dressing!! All whole plant foods - no oil or salt or refined sugar or chemicals ... Simple and so tasty

15.01.2022 If you eat enough calories (at least 2000 per day and more if you are active) from a wide variety of whole plants without oil, salt and refined sugar and ideally void of chemicals, take a regular Vitamin B12 supplement (the only supplement you need) and get around 20 minutes of sunshine a day (for vitamin D) then you will get all of the nutrients that your body needs. Period You absolutely, most certainly do not need to eat the bodies of other beings (who generally ate plants in the first place to get their nutrients) to get these. In fact by eating animals you are jeopardising your health significantly. Just follow a whole food plant based lifestyle without oil, salt and refined sugar and chemical free (WFPBSOSCF) and you will enjoy optimal health. Simple

15.01.2022 After a moderate workout in the gym this morning and an 11km walk after lunch this is my afternoon snack before a burrito bowl for dinner. A carrot dipped in Lizzies delicious beetroot hummus (recipe shared on a recent post) with a delicious turmeric latte. To make the latte I blend in our Vitamix (which has a breather - very important for safety when blending boiling foods) a few medjool dates, a small handful of raw cashews some fresh turmeric, fresh ginger, some cardamom seeds (not the pods but the seeds inside them), some fresh ground black pepper and a little cayenne powder for some zing!! Quick and easy and delicious and warming in winter

15.01.2022 For those of you who are interested, heres how I make my pickled beetroot: I top and tail the raw beets (keep the scraps for vegetable stock) and then halve them and place them on trays covered with baking paper (1st photo). Place them in the oven and roast them at 200C for about an hour - until they have softened, but remain firm (2nd photo).... I then slice them thinly and place the slices in a mixture of apple cider vinegar with a little coconut sugar (lowly refined sugar - just to take the sharpness off the vinegar) in a sealed container and store it in the fridge (3rd photo). I made about 3kg today, which will last us about a month or so (it will last many months, but we eat it too quickly!!). It took maybe 40 minutes of work. Its delicious and this way we avoid buying store bought canned beetroot, which usually comes with refined sugar and chemicals (preservatives), which we do our utmost to avoid. Simple, cheap and quick!

14.01.2022 Hey Plant Munchers Heres a little bit of creamy goodness instead of eating lettuce and grass all of the time This is my version of a creamy and little bit spicy corn chowder. Its very filling and satisfying, very cheap and easy to make and 100% whole plants with no oil, no salt, no refined sugars and no chemicals.... My estimate is that it cost less than $A10.00 to make this huge pot which will be around 8 meals. Thats like $1.25 per meal. Eating plant based is the cheapest and healthiest possible way to eat - if you eat whole plants and not processed junk foods. If you want any help or guidance, please send us a PM and we will do what we can to get you on track. The recipe is in the comments.

13.01.2022 Mmmmmm... WFPBSOSCF Hot chocolate. Who'd have thunk it!!!! Full of fiber, carbohydrates and flavour. No cruelty in this hot chocolate!!! Another winter warmer idea from the past but thought its one we all need again!! Hot chocolate:... Put about 8 to 10 medjool dates (take the pits out) in your blender with a small handful of raw cashews ( less than 1/4 cup), 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and vanilla powder, 2 large desert spoons of carob or cocoa powder. Add boiling water and blend smooth. Note Well: Be careful- make sure that your blender has a breather to atmosphere, so that you dont have a dangerous pressure build up. We use our Vitamix, which is great for hot foods as well as cold and even frozen foods. It's delicious.

13.01.2022 Coronary heart disease is the No.1 killer of people in the western world (around 17 million people a year worldwide - that’s about 70% of Australia’s entire population!!) yet it is invisible to many people. If you eat meat including fish , any dairy products (it doesn’t matter if it’s from a cow or a goat or a camel or any other animal for that matter), eggs or oils of any type then you will definitely have some level of arterial plaque and the onset of heart disease...- you just might not know it yet!! As the meme below says, if this disease was visible to you, then undoubtedly you would take action to rectify the situation and stop any further damage. The really good news is that you definitely do not have to do anything drastic or dramatic to cease the progress of this silent killer. All you have to do is change what you choose to put in your mouth every day. Dr Caldwell Esselstyn literally wrote the book on How to Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease which we strongly recommend that you read. If you want to take action and either prevent or reverse heart disease, then you can do this simply by eating a whole food plant based diet without oil, salt and refined sugar and free of chemicals. It’s that simple!! Do not ignore it, just because you can’t see it, take action now and don’t become on of those 17 million people who don’t survive a heart attack each year. Feel free to contact us if you want any help or coaching to live your optimal healthy life

11.01.2022 The is such an educational podcast episode with Rich Roll Introducing one of our favorite plant based gastroenterologists, Dr B, The Gut Health MD He clearly explains how fibre (only found in plants) and in particular how plant diversity (the variety of the plants that you eat) is the MOST important component of good health, a healthy immune system and disease suppression and disease reversal. ... Disbiosis or imbalance in the gut microbiome is the determining factor in developing major life threatening chronic diseases. Give yourself the best chance for great health, have a strong immune system and prevent chronic disease by eating a very wide variety of whole plant foods, without oil, salt, refined sugar and chemicals.

The burgers were eaten while the baked chips were cooking. All whole plant foods without oil, salt and refined sugar and chemical free. Super tasty, super filling, super healthy and super delicious

09.01.2022 From a lovely man, Kevin Waters who has completely changed his life around eating a whole food plant based diet. Well done Kevin!!! I lost 220 lbs on a Plant Based Diet in less than 14 months. I highly recommend doing this diet. It is the true way of eating! The first pic was in 2018 when my first daughter was born, it was literally this picture that made me think that I needed to change. 22 months later, this me holding our second daughter. My wife and I have lost an almos...t combined 300 lbs!! Update - I also have an Instagram that I have logged my journey on, the handle is @445to200 Thank you all!

09.01.2022 Eat the rainbow Its very important for optimal health and optimal immunity to keep all of the different types of your 38 trillion gut bacteria in your microbiome happy by eating a wide variety of whole plant foods because each plant has different types of fibre which the different types of bacteria feed on. This is my post 11.1km walk, feed for lunch. There are at least 15 different plant foods in this dish of Lizzies Mexican beans (contains 3 different types of... beans- red, black and white, brown onion , red capsicum, tomato and a range of different spices including cumin, coriander, paprika, Chili, black pepper) on a bed of mixed brown/red/black rice, topped with shredded lettuce , diced tomato , red onion, homemade pickled jalapeños and some avocado . Oh and this was after my overnight oats for breakfast which contained another 9 different whole plant foods (oats, date, pear banana kiwi fruit strawberries blueberries, buckinis and cacao nibs. Thats over 24 different plant foods just up until lunch. Dinner tonight is going to be baked potato chips tossed in a Berebere spice mix (https://www.allrecipes.com/reci/255863/berbere-spice-blend/) with some baked vegetable samosas and a very colourful coleslaw topped with a cashew based salad dressing - there will be at least another 15 different plant foods in that meal. All up it will be over 40 different whole plant foods in just 1 day!! My bugs are very happy and they keep me feeling amazing and rarely ill (I cannot remember when I was last sick but it was quite a number of years ago) oh and at 53 years of age, I have never been as energetic and active. How many different plants do you eat in a day? Are your gut bugs as happy as mine??? Do you get ill ?? If you want to know how to feel amazing, regardless of age - hit me up

08.01.2022 Breakfast for kings (if they ate this they wouldnt have been obese and died of heart attacks ) This is our Breakfast virtually everyday- the fruits might vary, depending on the season but otherwise it is pretty much standard and super healthy and super delicious and it keeps you going for at least 4-5 hours, even if you do an 11km walk or a heavy session in the gym Its half a cup of steel cut oats, soaked overnight with a broken up medjool date. ... In the morning we add cut fruit (in this case it was strawberries , blueberries, 1/2 small pear, 1/2 golden kiwi and 1 small banana ) we then sprinkle some buckinis and cacao nibs on for some crunch! So quick and easy and cheap. A total of ~770 calories of goodness which is 80% carbohydrates, 9% protein and 11% fat but super importantly it contains 21 grams of fibre, which keeps our 38 trillion gut bacteria very happy Check out the range of vitamins and minerals we eat, just to start the day.

07.01.2022 A message from our lovely friend Michael Klaper, M.D. Adding to his excellent statement below: In fact, getting all of your nutrients, minerals, proteins from whole plants is the absolute best way to get them. This is because plants also contain lots of fibre and water to help you feel full and satisfied (as well as to keep the bugs in your microbiome super well fed and happy) as well as lots of different antioxidants and phytonutrients to ensure that you enjoy absolut...e optimal health. On the other hand, if you choose to get your nutrients, minerals and proteins from animal sources then you also get packaged with this, lots of other things which do not promote good health at all. You get lots of fat including plenty of saturated fats, lots of nasty hormones like IGF 1, oestrogen, Neu5Gc, testosterone, cholesterol. You definitely do NOT get ANY fibre, or phytonutrients which is NOT a good thing. You are also responsible for the cruelty and slaughter of animals to satisfy your palate (which is obviously totally unnecessary) and for the significant degradation of the earths environment due to the massive negative impact that animal agriculture has on it Trying to get nutrients from processed foods (CRAP - calorie rich and processed) is a bit of an oxymoron in that many of the nutrients that originated in the foods are removed in the refining and processing stages, in particular most of the fibre and water is removed and typically other man-made synthetic nutrients (essentially chemicals) and synthetic flavouring and colouring chemicals are added as well as other chemicals to preserve (meaning bacteria won’t eat it - don’t forget that as a human you are mostly composed of bacteria so this is NOT a good idea at all) the food - mostly to preserve the supplier’s profits and definitely not to preserve your health (more likely to reduce it!!). If you want to enjoy fantastic well being and optimal health then we strongly recommend that you get all of your nutrients, minerals and proteins as well as plenty of fibre, antioxidants and phytonutrients by following a whole food plant based lifestyle without oil, salt and refined sugar and free of chemicals. If you want help to get started, then feel free to message us and we’ll get you on track.

06.01.2022 Some vibes of love this Sunday evening

This was topped with some sliced banana a little maple syrup and some cacao nibs and buckinis to add some crunch!! Definitely going to be full until breakfast.

05.01.2022 This is very sad but true Of the 10 top killers (heart disease, cancer, respiratory diseases, strokes, accidents, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, kidney diseases, influenza and pneumonia viruses and suicide as published by the Centre of Disease Control (CDC) in the US in 2010) of people in the western world, 8 of them can be either prevented or reversed by choosing the right foods for humans to eat. These killer chronic diseases are generally caused by poor food choices over a... long period of time. The poor food choices include eating any meat (all animal flesh including fish), all dairy, eggs, any and all oils, refined sugars or salt and any processed foods with any of these materials in them or with added chemicals. Don’t be responsible for your own chronic disease or even death . Take control of your own health by changing your lifestyle. Choose to eat only whole plant foods without oil, salt and refined sugar and free from chemicals and eradicate your chronic diseases. If you want help to take control of your destiny, message us and we will advise you how we can assist you.

03.01.2022 Sadly most of the food producers and the majority of the medical industry, are more interested in improving their bottom line than they are in helping you to stay well. As we often say to people, there is no money to be made from healthy whole food plant based eaters (with no oil, salt and refined sugar and chemical free) and there is no money to be made if people are dead. But many companies from both of these industries, are making massive profits by providing irres...istible food like products (which are made this way by achieving the sweet spot - the perfect ratio of fat, sugar and salt which your taste buds find very difficult to resist) that then make you sick (eventually) and then the so called medical industry (sickness management business) make a fortune by managing your sickness with pills and procedures for the rest of your life. You see, there are massive amounts of money to be made if you can be kept alive, but in a state of dis-ease for many years. You become a customer for many pills and procedures... for life!! If you want to avoid this ridiculous circle, then opt out and eat a whole plant food diet without oil, salt and refined sugar and free of chemicals. This way you will enjoy optimal health for a long and productive life, and save lots of money
