19.01.2022 Blu Orange cafe is quickly transcending from another typical, local cafe to a Wollongong Icon. Boasting spectacular water views from a courtyard style dining area, Blu Orange is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee on a lazy weekend morning. The cool, salty air whips through the cafe as you sit down and peruse the menu. The standout option? A crazy shake. Layers of chocolate, Nutella, TimTams, chocolate, wafers and more chocolate. The drink near has its own centre of gravity, and at only $13.50, it’s an attraction that I think I will find myself revisiting!
18.01.2022 Cheap eats!!! That’s all us uni students want. We already struggle enough to make it from day to day, so it’s good to know that there is a little relief out there for a hungry uni student. Zambrero Wollongong. Happiness in a soft tortilla. Yes. The price and the taste allow us poor, suffering souls some happiness. Nestled in between shopfronts on Crown Street in Wollongong, this fine Mexican establishment offers a range of options and allows you to ‘pick and choose’ as you please! It’s just that simple. If you’re tired of those beef two minute noodles for dinner, why not switch to a beef burrito? Or chicken? It’s your choice! Thanks Zambrero, it was a great experience.
17.01.2022 Nadia's Cafe Wollongong situated above Crown street was a great stop for a late breakfast. The warm and relaxed dinning setting made it easy to get comfortable and forget the cold miserable weather outside. I ordered the great Nadia's Pancakes with extra ice cream, and let me tell you they were great. The menu is quite simple but extensive with a range of breakfast choices, all day snacks, salads, burgers and sandwiches. Also offering lots of specials including a soup and pas...ta of the day and maybe a salmon or chicken special. Along with this offering a lot of beverages tea, many different coffee's, hot chocolate, milkshakes. The staff were polite and very organised making the experience even more enjoyable. Nadia's Cafe won't break your wallet with everything at good prices. So if you ever looking for a good breakfast or lunch in a very relaxed, comfortable atmosphere, check out Nadia's Cafe. See more
15.01.2022 His boy elroy - The Ideal rustic eatery and bar. Getting a large Coffee today, I was pleasant surprised by the cost ($4) for the large size and also the smooth roast of the brew. Great experience in my visit, with a chilled vibe by both the staff and the interior design. Having great food, including a selection of burgers and sides including chips and hot wings. With the NBA playing and also great music echoing in the background, this venue hidden away in Globe lane will not disappoint. 15.01.2022 The Square Cafe situated along Crown Street just is an ideal spot for pretty much every occasion. This establishment runs as bar, restaurant and cafe and whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner The Square has it for you. The Square has options for indoor and outdoor seating. The vibe was enjoyable with good beats and a great interior design. The menu had a very wide range with a breakfast menu to go with a dinner&lunch menu, with most meals cheaper than a lot of other establishments. The wait staff were very polite and welcoming. On this Sunday afternoon by myself I decided some fish and chips would be a great option with a cold beer. The food was great and had a very nice experience at The Square. So whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner or even just a quick coffee The Square would be a great choice.
14.01.2022 The famous North Wollongong Hotel didn't fail to deliver on a freezing Friday night. Modern interior and outdoor area with a great warm and inviting atmosphere. Dinner with a couple of mates and beers was great, the food was great and came out very quickly. The salt and pepper calamari I got was actually the best I'd had, coming with salad and large portion of chips. North Gong Hotel seem to have it down pat on a good pub feed, quality food in large portions. The pricing was a bit more expensive then a usual meal, but they offer lots of specials throughout the week including the Chicken Schniztel on Wednesdays for $7.50, $12 Lunch specials and Thursday nights 2 mains for $30. I'll definitely be returning to North Gong Hotel, great food, great vibes and great atmosphere.
13.01.2022 The antique lee and me Cafe serve up one of the smoothest blends in town, being of a very reasonable price of $4 for a large size with a laid back vibe and a Cosy interior. With the Cafe downstairs and a unique clothes shop upstairs, the venue keeps a Central Perk from the popular Friends TV series vibe about it. The historic building is one of Wollongong's originals, with keeping the service inviting, they are sure to be one of Wollongong's favourite coffee shops for years to come. 11.01.2022 The City renowned Combo platter at The Living Room. This succulent feast consisted of burgers, chips, chicken and lamb skewers, squid and flavoursome spreads on bread- it did not disappoint. Coming to a total of $65, this could easily be split between 3 people, into a manageable amount for the student budget. The service was inviting and pleasant. With a shortly extended waiting time on our meal, we were credited an unlimited drink Tab. One could not be disappointed by the generosity or service. 09.01.2022 Diggies at North Beach in Wollongong, doesn't fail to live up to expectations after hearing so much about it. Breakfast there early morning blew me away, the food was amazing. Going there with a big group no one had a bad thing to say about it and the food looked great. I ordered the pancakes, these tasted so good as well as coming with lots of strawberries, maple syrup and nuts to cover the pancakes with. The view of the surf and the beach was amazing and even better on such a sunny day. The staff were polite and the good came out very quick. Only downside was probably price, paying for four people the bill came to $103, you could say you're paying for what you get, great food and great view. Breakfast at Diggies was a great experience, and will be returning at some point. Everyone should give it a try and experience it themselves.
