21.01.2022 To all our customers, The recent spread of cases in Victoria is an unfortunate reminder that we all continue to live with COVID-19. For all Australian supermarkets, the safety and wellbeing of our customers, teams and communities remains our top priority, just as it always has been.... Each of our stores has a number of measures in place for everyones ongoing safety, including social distancing and enhanced cleaning and hygiene practices. We ask that you continue to tightly adhere to social distancing guidelines, wash or sanitise your hands before you come into store, use contactless payment wherever you can, remember to avoid touching your face (with or without a mask) and cough and sneeze into a tissue or your elbow. The Victorian Government has updated its advice on the use of masks to the following: The Chief Health Officer recommends that adults living in the Melbourne metropolitan area or Mitchell Shire wear a face mask when outside your home if it is difficult to keep 1.5 metres apart from other people. The advice also remains that physical distancing and regular hand washing remain the best defence against COVID-19. As masks are optional, its not compulsory to wear one in our stores in these areas. However, if you are in any doubt, or would simply feel more comfortable, please do wear a mask when you come into store. This is the same guidance we have given to our teams, and we have provided them with masks to wear as an option. While we welcome you wearing a mask if you choose, please dont be judgemental of others who choose not to, whether team members or other customers. It is an individual decision and we ask that you respect the choice of others. Its also a reminder that thousands of our fellow Australians are working tirelessly in our stores every day to help you. Please continue to treat our teams with the respect and courtesy they all deserve. Finally, its important that you dont come into a store if you feel unwell, should be in mandatory isolation or have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19. All our Victorian team members have also been asked to not come to work if they feel unwell. Thank you for your ongoing patience and support as together we do all we can to keep our communities safe. 20.01.2022 Wed like to thank everyone whos been positive and polite towards our staff in store over the last few weeks. Your kindness and understanding do wonders for the morale of our staff. Its unfortunate that we do have to make this statement but please know that abuse towards our staff will not, under any circumstances be tolerated. Our staff work incredibly hard and tolerate a lot; however, this is one thing that is never accepted.

12.01.2022 Let's all please remember there are special groups of people in our community who do not have the ability to shop on a regular basis, and when they do, they rea...lly need the essentials, such as toilet paper, tissues and basic pain relief to be readily available. In the past few days we've seen images of empty shelves across the nation, yet our most vulnerable community members - pensioners, residents in retirement homes and people with disabilities, are turning up to their local shops on their weekly shopping trip, only to face bare shelves and head home empty handed. Our aging parents, our grandparents, our elderly neighbours and the vulnerable, struggle to duck to the shops when they run out of items. Travelling from suburb to suburb looking for essentials is out of the question along with online shopping. By all means, be prepared and stock up on two weeks worth of essentials, but please ask, do you really three or six months worth of products? We will all get through this with a sensible and caring attitude.
