17.01.2022 THE LONG WEEKEND THAT WAS // oh my goodness, you wonderful humans, both locals and visitors! We have been blown away by your support and patronage not only over the long weekend, but the entire school holidays. For us, at @foodworks_twinwaters, we are a family-run business. Like today, for example, I was in at the store this morning. Pete brought the boys (and the dog) in for lunch and then we swapped over. ... Two things struck me today. As I was out the front about to leave with the boys (and Eduardo, our labradoodle) in tow, I got chatting to a lovely couple and their son about their dog.. They were waiting outside because there was a short wait on their chips. And they were so lovely. And relaxed. And did I mention lovely? It hit me, that we really do have such wonderful customers, who we are grateful for on a daily basis. The second thing that struck me today was when a lady came in and commented to Toiya (*absolute* legendary human and assistant manager) what a beautiful store it was, that everything was so lovely and that we should be proud of ourselves. Then Toiya turned to me and said this happens all the time. And that just made me beam. Because we ARE creating a beautiful grocery store. It IS lovely. And we ARE proud. So, thank you to each and every one of you who come into our beautiful and lovely store that we are proud of. We only exist because of you.
