23.01.2022 When the news is reporting a major meltdown at Coles and that all shops are closed. PFT!!! Try living through a 3 year olds meltdown in the middle of the food court during lunch! 2 nights ago, Mini Foo wanted to sleep upstairs in his soon-to-be bedroom. So I set up the baby monitor as it's at the other end of the house and we can't hear a thing. He did such a great job and slept all night. He's since been in his bed downstairs, but it was nice to see that he can do it for when the time comes.

22.01.2022 Folding washing and figuring out what to leave out for work tomorrow when I came across this! Mini Me's dress is a size 3-6 months (she's 11.5) so we still have a bit of time left for matchy matchy #twinnies #Mumlife #crazymomma

22.01.2022 Ahhh motherhood. How's everyone else's week been? 2 kids, work, kids activities and having cfs, I am stuffed!!! But, gotta keep going even though the thought of staying in bed for a week, or at least at home in my pajamas, sounds pretty good

20.01.2022 Bbq pork ribs with sweet potato fries for dinner, and banana bread with a few hints of nutella for dessert. This afternoon I had enough energy to do both of these, so while dinner was cooking I had a shower and bathed the baby, then got the banana bread mix ready for when the oven was available. It's almost 8pm and I'm ready for bed, physically and emotionally. The chances of the kitchen being cleaned tonight is zero, good thing I've got a bit of time to do it tomorrow before a playdate and work.....maybe

19.01.2022 When it was a tiring and busy night last night, so loading the dish washer didn't get done. Mini Me doesn't care, she just wants food!! Clingy baby+teethinga toddler=

16.01.2022 Sometimes you just can't understand your child. They might be too young, non-verbal, crying/sobbing, quiet and unsure, incoherent with frustration or anger, in ...a noisy environment and/or you are hard of hearing, have lots of audio stimulus or got multiple other factors in that situation - maybe give these phrases a go. . . 15.01.2022 So I thought that I would check out click and collect, to try and make life a bit easier. This is Mini Me's formula, which is usually $35, or when on special it's $32. This is what click and collect showed. I went in store yesterday as we only needed basket full of things, the normal shelf price was still $35 and it was in special for $32. Looks like they mark up the price to pay someone else to shop for you I'll be glad when I no longer have to buy it, less than 2 months to go I also had a look at fruit and cold meat. Fruit could only be bought by the kilo, but meat was able to be done by the gram. What the hell would I do with a kilo of bananas and a kilo of green apples?? We'd be eating banana bread for breakfast, lunch and apples for dinner I think, Mini Foo's dream

13.01.2022 Gotta love mum life. I've decided that if any of my friends have babies, that I'm going to gift them nail polish remover, a big bag of cotton balls, and some other stuff they'll need once their perfect little newborn becomes a toddler, probaly a bottle or 2 of wine! Our 9:30 playdate yesterday eventually happened. The night before, Mini Foo was doing such a great job playing with the putty, sitting on the lounge with his small desk. In the morning he had got to it, and decid...ed to redecorate the rug. Thanks to a quick google search, nail polish remover did the trick. Unfortunately though, when I got home from work at 6pm, the family were still getting high on the fumes. The windows were still open from this morning, but it obviously wasn't working. Due to not having a sense of smell, I was totally oblivious to it all until Foo told me.

12.01.2022 She found the party stuff. Can't believe my baby is 1 on Friday

12.01.2022 #mumlife Mini Foo slept upstairs again for the 3rd time. It's almost 6am and both kids are still sleeping so I thought I'd take advantage of it and have a cup of tea since I can't sleep. Mini me has been waking around 5am this week. I'll give her a nappy change, bottle and put her back to bed so then I can continue to sleep.... Yesterday while eating breakfast Mini Me did the sign for toilet. So I got her out of the high chair and onto the potty. She did a 1 and a 2 woohoo! She'll usually sign after the fact, so this was pretty exciting. She ended up going 3 times yesterday. Mini Foo, well, I managed to convince him twice to sit. We went the first time so got lots of praise, a sticker and a small bag of jelly beans. He still won't say when he needs to go or when he's gone. I'm hoping he will soon because 3 year olds poo...OMG!!!!

11.01.2022 Night 2 of sneaking off to bed when Mini Foo is still awake. I usually wait until both kids are asleep, but the last 2 nights my body has given up on itself. Usually on a Wednesday night I would just be getting home from work, the kids cheering me on as I walk through the door. Instead, we all got to eat dinner together, and Mini Me has been asleep since 8:30ish. I've just given Mini Foo half a melatonin because he had a day nap so is jumping off the walls. If he didn't have it he'll be up til around 11pm, and still wake by 7!! And chronic fatigue... Guess who will be 1 next week

11.01.2022 The reasons why I grew back the 3 grey hairs that I lost last night while washing my hair. Looks like Mini Me loves pulling on the toilet roll and making a mess, just like Mini Foo! While I was tidying up the nursery after getting home from work, Mini Me was crying. Ran into the loungeroom to find she had climbed into the change table shelf and was stuck ... Trying to convert the cot into a toddler bed as Mini Me is now waking when we put her down (did the same thing for Mini Foo at the same age for the same reason) She thought it would be nice to help out mumma while the boys are on the lounges, snoring their heads off.

10.01.2022 It worked! On the wrong kid, but It worked. One of Mini Foo's NDIS goals is to go to bed at a decent hour. Unfortunately he had a late afternoon nap, so he didn't get to sleep til around 2am! The Aroma Snooze Sleep Aid has varies lights and noises, plus a humidifier to put some oils in. The plan is to get Mini Foo to play quielty in his room just before bed, with the blue light on as it promotes calm. Because of his nap, he was bouncing off the walls and I didn't give him an...y melatonin (he usually asks for his tablet but he hasn't the last 2 nights). Bedtime came for Mini Me, so I changed it to the red light as this helps promote the production of melatonin. There's also a feature for music, so I had that playing too. Mini Me slept through til she was rudely awoken by big brother just before 7am. Lately she's been waking twice a night, so this was a nice change. Hopefully either no day sleep today, or one before 4pm.

08.01.2022 Just made this for dinner. The verdict, not much flavor. Next time I'll double the honey and lemon to see if that helps. Good thing we've got bbq sauce I've decided once a week, this tired lazy full time working mumma is going to attempt a new recipe that I haven't done before. ... Like, I could eat chicken 7 nights of the week, but I'm pretty sure everyone else has had enough. Last night we bought pizza from the local pub. Mine was modified bacon, chicken, bbq sauce and cheese. It was nice and I told Foo that except for when I'm on night shift, a meal every now and then where I don't have to cook or clean would be lovely.

07.01.2022 "mummy you cry" "Yes son, mummy does want to cry" Mini Me is 9 months today and her hair is finally long enough to put a bow in.... I'm so bloody excited

07.01.2022 When Mini Me wakes at 3am, so has a feed and nappy change, then back to bed after 4. Then Foo's work alarm goes off at 4:30. Hoping that my babies sleep til about 7 so i can have some more sleep, although I think I just heard Mini Me again #MumLife

06.01.2022 When you ask your toddler to try on a shirt to see if it's too small, and he tells you to put it on lamb!

05.01.2022 Our last tin. That's going to save me $35 each week. Mini Me is now on 120ml formula and 90ml almond milk 3-4 times a day. Mini Foo was off formula at 11 months and just almond milk, but since this is our last tin we will use it up. This also means that Mini Me is almost 1! That's gone way too fast she's standing and able to walk holding 1 hand. And her signing of the word "milk" is going fantastic, I no longer need to watch the clock as she just smiles and signs it

04.01.2022 Shopping day! As well as 3 punnets of strawberries and a cut watermelon, I think this will do us for the week.

04.01.2022 How's everyone else's morning going?? I am busy getting ready for Kanga kids, swimming lessons and speech therapy, whilst Foo is still asleep in bed, both kids are letting their creations and imaginations run wild

02.01.2022 Online shopping gone wrong. Thank God I only ordered 4. So I thought click and collect would make life easier as doing the groceries creates more fatigue and pain. Next time I'll read the description of what I'm ordering a little bit better. The guy that bought out my groceries thought I might have been making apple pie Oh well, lesson learnt. And it looks like apples for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a while. Mini Foo won't mind though, he'd eat an apple for every meal if I let him
