08.01.2022 Rare form of malignant melanoma of heel was spotted during our consultation back in December 2019. 72 YO female with type 2 DM, Asian ethnicity presented with single 3mm hyper-pigmented lesion of her left heel which increased in numbers within 12 months. Referred the patient to a dermatologist and later on she received wide local elliptical incision with a split thickness skin graft which was harvested from her thigh. The incision was 20 cm in length and 7 cm in width. Now she is pain free and ambulatory. Her dermatologist took her photos to publish an article as it is a very rare form of melanoma to be spotted.
