24.01.2022 Please meet FARC's newest team member Israa Abdalla. Israa is a recent star graduate Podiatrist from the Queensland University of Technology. She will be joining us in January 2021. Israa completed her final year honors project assessing outcomes of Foot and Ankle Orthopedic surgery. She is also fluent in Arabic and available for appointments from January 11th.

One of the most common things I hear patients say when they come in to see us for foot care is, "I've had a pain in my foot for a while, do you think I should see my GP or a physio?". I don't think the issue here is purely on the patient, it's more a general lack of understanding of what we, as podiatrists, are trained to do. After a 4-5 year university degree, podiatrists are trained to diagnose and assist in the treatment ...of conditions affecting the foot, ankle and related structures of the leg".
