07.01.2022 This is a parents guide to understanding the market value of clubs and their key role as stepping stones for player movement within the global football market place. We encourage all parents to spend some time comprehending this global context.

07.01.2022 80% of English players in the EPL started their senior football in the lower tiers, average age of 19, then debuting in EPL at 22 years of age. 21% got their opportunity in the EPL via promotion of their club from the lower tiers. That 80% statistic is quite staggering, at the same time very disheartening for families here in Australia. Makes absolute common sense why there is a united push and urgency by FFA and clubs here in Australia to address the bottleneck at 17-22 years of age, via the establishment of a 2nd Division and a genuine tiered competition with regulated promotion and relegation from top to bottom. From a youth perspective, we all hope the discussions have shifted from 'should' it happen to 'when' will it happen (hopefully very soon for the current 17-22 years to benefit).

05.01.2022 FTS Roll Steps (made in 2013), nice blast from the past, 5-6 years is a long time in football. Since this video was made, 16 of these 'baby faced' players from our FTS squads have gone on and represented Australia in Youth National Teams, Overseas or A-League senior youth teams (U20 and above). Another few more are also on the cusp...we now just have to cross our fingers and hope the powers that be finally get a genuine senior football competition structure established to provide the right type of opportunities for players that stay in the country from 17-22 years of age.
