14.01.2022 The EVA app is by far the easiest way to sign in/out families. Set up takes a few minutes and the entire family can be set up in advance. No more standing in queues to sign in. Those with Android phones need to download the QR reader and sign in that way. The less paperwork we have, the better. Thank you to all the volunteers helping on the gate ensuring we are following COVID19 requirements.

10.01.2022 The Fraser Coast Joeys Mini World Cup BREAKING NEWS - FRASER COAST JOEYS MINI WORLD CUP CANCELLED FOR 2020 and is postponed to be held again in HERVEY BAY in 2021. After our meetings with Fraser Coast Regional Council and Fraser Coast Tourism and Events General Manager Mr Martin Simons during the week, Mr Simons contacted me on Friday to inform me that Council has decided to cancel the 2020 tournament and that the event now will be held in 2021 due to the escalating COVID -19... situation. We are very disappointed to bring you this news especially after all COVID Safe plans and requirements were met by us this week. But we also fully understand Fraser Coast Regional Council and the Fraser Coast Tourism Managers decision in safeguarding the health and well being of the people as being paramount to any other concerns. I quote Mr Simons With this week’s announcement of further COVID-19 outbreaks in New South Wales and in the Brisbane suburb of Logan, and the closing off of metropolitan Sydney, there is increasing concern about the health and reputational risk of staging the 2020 Joey’s event. There is a very real possibility that NSW borders will be closed and with the outbreak in SEQ, we are concerned about the commitment of clubs to send teams to the event if the COVID environment becomes more challenging closer to September, which seems possible. It is regretful that we are in this situation but the health of the community and protecting the Fraser Coast’s reputation as a COVID responsible, safe destination is of most importance at this time. For us working on next years Event is starting now. I will contact all of the 76 teams that have booked plus the 33 teams that had pulled out prior due to Covid-19 issues within the next week with a September/October date and to make arrangements for your participation in 2021. Regards Tournament Director Heinrich Haussler See more

10.01.2022 Yesterday we showed you the component of your FQ rego fee that goes towards insurance (34%). Now let's look at the breakdown of insurance cover provided to club...s and participants. Complete a short survey & have your say on insurance: bit.ly/2ZdR6Vk Find out more about how you're covered: bit.ly/3fgnX1y Here's a handy explainer for each type of insurance provided: Personal Injury Insurance provides basic levels of cover for players and others participating in Football for permanent injury or death cover; non-Medicare Medical Expense cover; and income replacement cover. General Liability Insurance protects the player and their club for legal liability for compensation arising from personal injury or property damage; Professional Indemnity Insurance protects the players club for legal liability for a breach of professional duty in the sport by reason of an act, error or omission committed by or on behalf of the club and competition administrator; and Management Liability Insurance protects the players Club against legal actions or civil proceedings made against their Club or its Officials for any wrongful act, employment breach and/or employee fraud. #FootballinQueenslandUnited
