13.01.2022 Foot Choice & Allied Health 5 Years Young 12/6/2015-12/6/2020 Seems like just yesterday that I started Foot Choice and Allied Health wow, what a ride it has b...een! As positive and optimistic as I was, I never could have dreamt it would be as successful as it is today. The secret has been the team who have helped build the business from zero to the premier Allied Health practice in the inner west. To you I owe everything. Whilst todays message is a celebration of our 5th birthday, what I really want to do is shine the spotlight on my wonderful team and tell you their stories and what makes them so special. Hanseul was our very first podiatrist and how lucky I was to find her. Five years on, she still treats every one of her patients like family. Im constantly amazed at how thorough and patient she is Hanseul is never in a hurry and she makes sure that every consultation makes a positive difference to her patients. Andrew came to Foot Choice and Allied Health 3 months before he finished his podiatry degree. Over the years hes become a great asset to the practice his gentle and friendly approach is loved by all his patients. Andrew is passionate about PACT nail fungal treatment, and is an amazing nail surgeon. Khanh is a physiotherapist with almost 30 years of experience. He is passionate about physiotherapy and the difference it can make to peoples health. When you meet Khanh you soon understand why his patients keep coming back he is a true gentleman. Rachael started as an occupational therapist at Foot Choice working just 1 day per week. At the time she was also working at a large health care group, which was conveniently 5 minutes from her home. After only 3 months she felt so at home at Foot Choice that she left the other clinic to join us full-time and weve absolutely loved having her. Following 10 years of looking after her mother who had suffered from a stroke, Rachael decided to do a masters degree in Occupational Therapy what a wonderful achievement. Rachael is passionate about paediatrics, and really believes in the importance of early intervention with children. Foot Choices youngest occupational therapist Jasmin has been a great addition to the team. She loves the sense of community, and building long term relationships with her patients, which is why she has fitted into the Foot Choice Team so well. Jasmines dream is to have a sensory garden to help her patients treatment which is something we will be working on in near future. Jasmine loves to help teenagers and young adults to become more open and confident. Rebecca is Foot Choices first speech pathologist. She has a bachelors degree in TESOL and Master degree of Speech Pathology which allows her to work with a variety of clients to improve their speech and communication. In a short period Rebecca has impressed everyone, and has taken the lead in establishing an even larger speech pathology team at Foot Choice and Allied Health. Paresh is one of Foot Choices favourite remedial massage therapists. He specialises in craniosacral therapy, neurotherapy, psychotherapy and counselling. Paresh has a wonderful approach with his clients, treating all with kindness and compassion; which occasionally has his clients in tears. Debora is another of our wonderful massage therapists. Originally from Portugal where she learned her craft, Debora has since earned her qualifications as a remedial massage therapist in Australia. Debora is one of the happiest people youll ever meet always smiling, she makes everyone feel good. Tina, our Admin Manager is the heart and soul of Foot Choice she keeps everything running smoothly! A number of years ago Tina left Foot Choice to work elsewhere we were all very sad. However she soon returned, and now says she wants to work here forever! With an extensive human resources background, Tina is able to remain organised in what has become a very vibrant practice, with many moving parts. Her leadership in training staff, keeping track of the small details, and helping me build Foot Choice & Allied Health has been invaluable. Zoe started with Foot Choice and Allied Health when she was studying a Master of Accounting and Finance. Over time Zoe and I regularly talked about her passion and her natural abilities, which led her to change 180 degrees to start a Master of Podiatry. Zoe has never looked back and will graduate at the end of this year to practice as a podiatrist at Foot Choice. She is really keen to learn how to support disabled patients to have better life outcomes. With an impressive background in HR management Lukas joined Foot Choice in 2020. He loves providing great customer service which is evident by the positive feedback we get from our clients. During the corona virus pandemic, Lukas worked tirelessly to support our clients to use telehealth through the lockdown period. He supported clients to prepare Telehealth sessions via all electronic devices. He was our saviour! In 2019 I found an amazing business coach Brad Regan from Real Edge in Business. He helped me to first define my goals for Foot Choice, but then actually supported and guided me to exceed them. Brads business expertise and advice has been invaluable. Creating and then growing Foot Choice & Allied Health hasnt always been a smooth road. There have been many challenges, however Ive always come back to my beliefs of Falun Dafa with Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance for others. This has helped me build life-long relationships with both my team and our clients. I just wanted to thank my team once again they have all worked tirelessly during the corona virus pandemic. Always thinking of their clients, sometimes before their own health and safety. Youre the reason this clinic is so amazing.
