08.01.2022 One of the most common conditions I treat as a #podiatrist is onychocryptosis commonly known as ingrown toenails. Ingrown toenails happen when the corner of a toenail grows into the skin. The signs of ingrown toenail are redness, swelling, and pain around the edge of the nails. Usually big toe is affected, although the condition can be seen in other toes.
