24.01.2022 Some of our very excited Grade 3 Ballet students attending their first Jacqueline Morland rehearsal arranged by the Royal Academy of Dance over the weekend. Footlights offers RAD ballet classes from Pre-Primary-Advanced 1, we just love seeing students take advantage of the wonderful performing opportunities RAD offer.

22.01.2022 Why is it "Footlights" Dance Studio...? Footlights are a row of theatre lights set at floor level across the front of a stage; often with a metal hood to diffuse the light. In the 17th century these lights were open-flame oil lamps with a floating wick! Over time, these lamps were replaced with safer electric bulbs. 12.01.2022 In accordance with the Australian Government announcement today, Footlights Dance Studio will undergo a temporary closure effective immediately, Monday 29th March 2021. This closure will remain in place for the remaining 4 days of term 1. We will certainly keep all of our yummy easter eggs locked away safely in the fridge ready to hand out to students in week 1 of term 2! We wish all of our families a safe and Happy Easter and look forward to seeing everyone back at the studio ready for Term 2, commencing Monday 19th April.

However, as one door closes another door opens. Footlights Dance Studio will be offering class content and online activities for enrolled students soon! 08.01.2022 We are thrilled to announce this year guest performer, Uncle Gordon Cowburn will be performing a Welcome To Country to open ‘Among the Gumtrees’, the themed half in our Senior Mini Show. Uncle Gordon is a proud Elder of the Gubbi Gubbi people who have cared for the land for over 18,000 years, and their history is one of peace and welcome to visitors. Dancers, only 4 sleeps to go...

02.01.2022 A huge thank you to everyone that donated to our bushfire appeal. Our hearts go to all the people and animals these fires have affected. We are proud to say we have donated 50% to Wires Emergency Fund for Wildlife and 50% to the Australian Red Cross Bushfire Disaster Relief Fund.
