22.01.2022 They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. This morning, together with my family, we each lit a candle and stood for a minute silence at our home in place of the usual dawn service. A different but also very beautiful experience to pay our respects. Pictured below is a handmade poppy that a beautiful Mum I know shared in creating with her little girl. What a beautiful way to teach her little one about Anzac Day.

01.01.2022 This week (18-25 August) is The Childrens Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Childrens Book Week. Footprints will be celebrating Book week this Friday 25th August. We encourage children to dress up as their favourite book character and/or bring along their favourite book to read and share! Each year, across Australia, The CBCA brings children and books together to celebrate Childrens Book Week. The festivities happen in libraries, book stores, schools and early childhood se...ttings and there are often book parades, story time sessions and special displays. The theme for this years Book Week is Escape to Everywhere, which is all about the power that books and storytelling have to transport children on adventures and expand their horizons. A story with lavish illustrations can unlock a young childs imagination and expose them to ideas, people, cultures, experiences and places which might otherwise be unavailable to them.
