16.01.2022 Did you know? Amongst women conceiving naturally (without medical or medicinal assistance), and with no complications resulting in early birth, gestational lengths naturally vary by as much as, and potentially more than, 37 days (5 weeks and 2 days), regardless of a given EDD (estimated due date) or known date of ovulation. 12.01.2022 Placenta Encapsulation is returning from this July! I've had a nice long break - my first in years - from encapsulating since I finished up with my last client right before the big C-19 hit us and changed our lives, and now it's almost time to take it back up again and continue offering this service to the families who choose to utilise this option during their postpartum period. Please do be aware that my service area has changed and I am now providing my services from Herv...ey Bay down to Maryborough, QLD. If you would like to book in now, ahead of time for you birth later in the year, please don't hesitate to contact me via messages and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Encapsulation bookings do normally fill up fast, so booking in before your EDD is essential if you want to access this service.

03.01.2022 If pregnant women held the same value in the medical system as men, we wouldn’t have such high rates of obstetric violence. They are not a vessel/object. But u...niversities and hospitals aren’t even asking for a woman’s view of consent and experience of coercion, cruel and inhuman treatment. There is no two way ‘consumer engagement’ or ‘affirmative and informed consent’, as the tweet below aides to, it’s a top down message. This video, while funny, is too close to the truth of what many maternity service users experience. https://vimeo.com/208199584

01.01.2022 I think we all know the drill by now. Just in case anyone wasn't aware - THIS IS STATE WIDE! Not just in the Brisbane area :( If you are in Brisbane/surrounds or one of the other areas that were visited by an affected person and have a legitimate health condition making mask wearing not a good idea (pregnancy is classed amongst those conditions) or your child is 11 or under then masks are not compulsory, 12 and over and otherwise healthy and a mask is compulsory in Brisbane ...& surrounds and other affected areas. The rest of Queensland is 'advised' to wear masks in indoor areas apart from your own home though it is not currently compulsory (let's keep it that way, yeah?!) As one of those who cannot wear a mask but tries to wear one anyway, I beg you all to please do the right thing so that I don't have to choose between struggling for every breath in a mask if I want to leave the house or remaining housebound and able to breath easily for longer than just the next few days.
