25.01.2022 8th DAY OF LAXMAS This year has certainly been a different one for all our Doggies at school or university, but one we’re sure they’ll never forget! Congratulations to all our graduating Bulldogs, whether they are moving on from grade 6 and primary school into year 7 and high school, finishing their high school education or even earning a degree at tertiary level ... All the best, class of 2020!

23.01.2022 11th DAY OF LAXMAS Plenty of new words and phrases were learnt this year, but safe to say one everyone now knows is Zoom! Whether it was keeping in touch with friends and teammates during lockdown, catching up with those who are living overseas or hosting meetings or interviews, Zoom was everyone’s go-to app of 2020.... It was great to see so many members being able to keep the close connections we know are so special at our club when there weren’t any other options. We have to say, we are looking forward to seeing some smiling faces in person next season though!

21.01.2022 12th DAY OF LAXMAS Today wraps up our 12 days of Laxmas, with just one more sleep until Christmas! After looking back on some of what 2020 has looked like for the last 11 days, our final day is a look into the future.... Here’s to making up for all the early Saturday and Sunday mornings, all the 6 o’clock rocks, all the Mary’s Kitchen meals and just good times that we missed out on this year. May 2021 be a year of happiness and success for everyone!

02.01.2022 10th DAY OF LAXMAS This year our lacrosse community near and far lost a lacrosse legend in Sue Sofarnos (aka Melli). Melli was a giant of our game, always striving to develop the sport we all love. It is only fitting that our tenth day is for Melli which was her Australian playing number. ... So many FLC junior girls and senior women especially have been touched by Melli over the year’s whether it be in Victorian or Australian Teams or through the Mount Saint Joseph’s school community where she was the sports co-ordinator rounding up the team for interschool lacrosse. As a testament to her everlasting impact, the Sue Sofarnos Foundation was established in her honour and has gone on to raise more than $155,000, with the purpose of covering costs for Australian women’s players. We will be forever grateful for her commitment to our sport. Sue is a legacy that will live on. Melli’s celebration of life will be held on Monday 11th January 2021, on what should’ve been her 60th Birthday.
