24.01.2022 The Golden Foot trophy is home again! A rousing 7-5 win for the Footwork team over Mt. Eliza TC. A packed crowd watched the nail-biting final doubles which went to 10-8 in the tiebreaker. Incredible performance from the boys. Well be back next year to defend the title on Mount Elizas home courts. Woooooooooooo!

10.01.2022 2015 FOOTWORK TENNIS COACHING NOVEMBER GIFT A stellar post-VCE exams performance has seen Wade Stephens take out the 2015 title, with pre-race favourite Aaron Blitz having to settle for the bronze. Having won last year on a dry track, the wet conditions did not suit Blitz, who ultimately dropped to third behind Stevens and veteran November Gift place-getter, Taylor Lindsey. Lindsey was disappointed to fall one short of the main title for two years running, but confessed the r...un was probably "still better than me driving." In at 4th for another year was "Have a Nice" Jay Dawson, holding steady after a horrid run in 2013 which saw him finish further back than Lleyton Hewitts last grand slam victory. In at 5th was Tom "Michael" Jordan, followed by Sam "Community" Hall and Nick "volleys are horrible to run in" Mashado. Rounding out the top 8 was the oldest competitor in the field, Josh "Fossil" Budin. Budin spoke confidently pre-race of his desire to "dismember" the field, however all of these claims were found to be fabricated. In 9th position was daylight, with Will "Didnt-Time-my-start-Well" the best of the final three, pipping Alex "13 inches" Foot who argued the race would have been more fair if it was run over a 5km course, rather than the traditional 60m. In last position was Rachel Gonsalves. The only female in the field, Gonsalves was unable to replicate the heroics of Michelle Payne in the Melbourne Cup, however was the first female to cross the line to take out the ladies title. When asked if the win could be credited to his new aerodynamic hairstyle, Stevens said "yeah probably" before walking off and grabbing a drink. An ever talkative Stevens played down speculation of back-to-back victories, undecided if he will be returning next year to defend his title. The crowd of 1 quickly dissipated, drawing the 2015 event to a close. Its hoped better weather will draw a larger crowd for the running in 2016!

09.01.2022 Big thanks to the Maffra Lawn Tennis Club for hosting us at their annual tournament again in 2016. It was great to see the Footwork team and Narre Warren North Tennis Club well represented with 16 players, plus family and friends - our largest contingent yet! Four days of terrific grass-court tennis saw some excellent results for the Footwork team, including: Daniel Walsh and Jeff Foot: Open Mens Doubles Runners Up Nicholas Mashado: Mens A Grade Winner Andrew Houston: Mens A ...Grade Runner Up Nick Mashado and Andy Houston: Mens A Grade Doubles Winners Taylor Lindsey: Boys 19&U Winner Alex Foot: Boys 19&U Runner Up Percy Hyatt: Boys 10U Winner Some great results for all involved. We hope to see even more players on board for our campaign in 2017!

07.01.2022 The good news is we are getting a new fence!... The bad news is we are getting a new fence!... so courts 2,3 and 4 and possibly 1 will be out of action all this week!... Fear not! Coaching will be on as normal on courts 5 and 6! :)
