25.01.2022 Xmas themed cocktails are awesome, this one is a mint chocolate delight on the taste buds and exceptionally dangerous. Naming rights up for grabs, put your best name forward to win two of them and the cocktail will enter as a regular offering.

25.01.2022 We are digesting the new information, typically it takes a little while for the detail to emerge that affects us, the additional information for industry doesn't get updated right away. We'll be sorting through that over the coming days to see what our new weirdly normal is for now.

22.01.2022 No exposure locally!! There are several other bars/venues of our ilk that have become exposure sites, Bodriggy, Stomping Ground, Grape and Grain, and not in Bars but Puffing Billy Emerald as well... Masks will be mandatory when moving about the bar and ordering drinks, no mask, no drink. No seat, no service. Liberally use the sanitizers that are placed on every table for you. .... https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/case-locations-and-outbreaks
21.01.2022 Fun Fills Thursday!! 12-4:30pm with the goodies
21.01.2022 We had the opportunity recently to grab some special beers and offer them up. 3 massively popular Cascade Sours from the states. Collection from the bar by appointment only. This could very well be the start of select offerings at a great price point. If sours are your thing, you'd best be looking these up.

18.01.2022 I come bearing good news, People can order drinks at the bar, you must wear your mask when doing this and then return to your allocated seat. We deeply thank everybody yesterday, it was wonderful to see the smiles on peoples faces as they enjoyed a jar with friends again. It's been a long time coming indeed. 18.01.2022 To say that the last few weeks have been a challenge is a fair bit of an understatement but it has been far from boring. It's so good to hear the laughter again, it's amazing to touch base with so many faces Ive not seen for so long. Bookings for the following week are now open. If I do not respond instantly, I will get back to it as I see the time to do so. Session 1 - 12-3pm... Session 2 - 3-6pm Session 3 - 6-9pm Session 4 - 9-12pm Please book through messenger so that I can keep all the bookings in one place if I need to refer back to them. 17.01.2022 Yeah Baby... This is in my future today.. Fills from 2pm and collection of the Cascade Sours as well is up for grabs today. As always, much love for the support, honestly don't know how we've survived this 5 months already but we will plug on as best we can, that may see a transition to some lines of packaged beers as well but like the Cascade, it'll likely be the more selected lines that aren't available at all locations. Weather they turn out to be individual cans/bottles or mixed 6 packs, we haven't worked out yet, what we do know is that any of these offerings are likely to be rare sorts.
16.01.2022 Well here we are, facing the RE-opening week.. it's been an overwhelming restart but we're ready for it. 16.01.2022 Opening as 'normal' today (4pm) with Dave at the helm, be gentle, it's his first solo shift Pool comp running and giving away a sweet Slab of beer from 7pm if we get to a minimum of 6-8 players, thems pretty good odds of walking away bit a case of booze Please ask for as many different cocktails as possible, Dave needs the practice ... Now for the serious part. We've been watching with keen interesthe developments and we are happy with the local situation. We'll keep a very close eye on it all and make decisions as we go along. For now, open but with movement masks as required by the state, that is, when seated, no mask, if moving about the building, please mask up. Please also use frequently the hand sanitizers located literally everywhere.
16.01.2022 OK, it's been a little crazy with bookings so we might well implement a session time arrangement with a +time if subsequent bookings do not overlap on that table, as in, if there isn't a booking, you can stay on for extra time. I'm hoping this will just make it clearer and easier. Maximum group sizes 4 - 2.5hr sessions which allows for 30 minutes for us to deep clean and prep for the next session. 12-3pm Session 1 3-6pm Session 2 6-9pm Session 3... 9-12pm Session 4 Bookings to be taken exclusively on messenger so that we can refer to the messages if we need to clarify details. Bear with us as we hone this process, it's new and crazy so we are feeling our way through it. Note: Next week will largely stay as is on the 6th ans seventh and I will add what availability remains. Friday 6th November Session 1 - Availability Session 2 - Limited Availability Session 3 - Limited Availability Session 4 - Limited Availability
15.01.2022 So... new restrictions and how they affect us at the Drop... In effect, all it really does is make it harder, we wont get to the 40 people allowable inside, the most we can hope for will be 30 but that still needs to be confirmed (I have a cunning plan) This is unlikely to take effect this week but I will try to build it into next weeks bookings, speaking of, for the short term at least this system will continue. It's a painful way to do it but really is the only way we have ...any clarity on how to arrange the bar. It may provide a little wiggle room for this week though. We may see the Session 4 become a bit more attractive with a return to the 1am finish time making the session from 9-12:30 in effect... also likely in effect for next week. Thanks for all your patience as we worked through last week's confusing details and moved into a smoother system. We noticed a few things to put in a work around for, such as, on entry for your bookings, it's likely that we'll quickly try to identify which booking you are with, which table you are on and then move you towards the table, we will try to seat all people and then work on the drinks, this will reduce any congestion at the entry and make the whole process a touch smoother. Cheers
15.01.2022 Remembrance day: They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning ... We will remember them. Lest we forget.
14.01.2022 Note: delayed Sunday Opening, We will have to wait a week Im afraid. New Sunday opening date 10.01.21 Apologies
14.01.2022 Our mulled wine uses a traditional style from Germany, sweetened with a Romanian Cab Sauv, this makes for all sorts of delicious and is firmly back on the menu. #mitchammulledwine #thedrop #foagers
13.01.2022 Thank you to all friends, family and Forager's near and far for putting us here. We couldn't do it without your amazing ongoing support. Those who know, know! You know? Fourth is an amazing result for us, the juggernaut and we'll established companies we have bested to get this placing. Simply stunning. In three years to have done this is an accomplishment beyond measure. ... Much love goes to the team at the Drop for their commitment and help with everything they do to support the bar and everyone who comes through those doors. Also, Beer Deluxe doesn't count so it's really Third place ;)
12.01.2022 Saturday fills are apon us again and we have some damn fine options. 12.01.2022 On the cards for this week is Liberty Brewing Yakima Monster, Ive adored Liberty brewing for years and their hop forward beers never fail. While it says Pale ale, this beer drinks like any other West Coast IPA and is utterly delicious. This will land later in the week so will update when we have it in the cool room. Still available for fills we have Pale Ales, Ginger Beer (7%), Sours, Stout, Quiet Deeds NEIPA and probably a few other tasty bevvies.... I will be about today for a limited time between 12-4pm to cater for bevvie desires.
