23.01.2022 Time to update all 28 Band Folders for 2019. So take 38 scores out and file them away; then put 33 new scores into each folder. That means I handled about 2000 sheets of music- hopefully they are all in the right spot!! Now to just track down and/or transcribe a few missing parts and it’ll all be done
17.01.2022 Last Wednesday the FTDB has the great privilege to join together with the Lachlan Regional Orchestra to perform the AMEB Online Orchestra Piece Waltzing Matilda...! I was an honour as the band master of the FTDB to conduct both groups as a whole orchestra! A great time together making music. An event we hope to all do more often See more

Most Improved in Band- Tom Boyd. Best in Band - Hannah Nixon. Joe Hohnberg Award - Karyn Glennan for doing a massive job this year!!

06.01.2022 This amazing event is coming up on Saturday 9th June at 3pm! Blowing the Blues Away is a concert performed by the talented Hannah Nixon and James Whalan. Hanna...h is an accomplished trombonist and pianist performing in jazz bands, concert bands and musicals, as well as performing at Carols by Candlelight, Anzac Day commemorations, local shows and nursing homes. James is a trained musical theatre and classical singer with 10 years stage experience. He has performed in various shows such as "Grease", "Oliver!", and played the lead role of Frederic in the "Pirates of Penzance". James has musically directed the musical "9 to 5" and won a Canberra Area Theatre Award for his work. With 67 years musical experience, these two performers are not to be missed! Blowing the Blues Away will be a mixture of classical, theatre, jazz and Disney music, certain to warm up the soul on a cold winter afternoon. See more
