21.01.2022 COVID-19 EXPOSURES IN BROKEN HILL, NYNGAN AND ORANGE There are currently no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Far West NSW or Western NSW Local Health Distric...ts. A person who has subsequently tested positive for COVID-19 travelled from Broken Hill through Nyngan and Orange on Saturday and Sunday 2 and 3 January whilst infectious It is advised that any person who presented at the Gourmet Cribtin Broken Hill on Saturday 2 January between 10:40 am to 11:20 am are advised to get tested immediately regardless of symptoms, and self-isolate for a full 14 days since attending the Cribtin and have a repeat test if symptoms occur and again at the end of the isolation period. People who were present at Nyngan Riverside Tourist Park between 6.00pm on Saturday 2 January and 9.00am on Sunday 3 January are advised to get tested for COVID-19 immediately regardless of symptoms and self-isolate until a negative result is received, and continue to monitor for COVID-19 symptoms and test again if any symptoms develop. Any person that presented at the Birdie Noshery and Drinking Est in Orange on Sunday 3 January between 12.30pm and 2:00pm are advised to get tested immediately regardless of symptoms, and self-isolate for a full 14 days since they were there, and have a repeat test if symptoms occur and again at the end of the isolation period. The Far West NSW and Western NSW Local Health District is organising additional testing capacity in Broken Hill, Orange and Nyngan. Additional testing capacity will be made available at the Laverty Drive-through service at the Orange Showground from this afternoon from 12.30pm and at the Orange Hospital’s Fever Clinic from midday today. Additional testing capacity will also be available at Nyngan at the Big Bogan statue this afternoon from 2.00pm and again tomorrow. Symptoms associated with COVID-19 include fever, cough, sore/scratchy throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of taste or smell.
