25.01.2022 We are serving tea at Grazing down the Lachlan in beautiful dusty Forbes!!
25.01.2022 We greatly enjoyed being able to play a part in helping Food Bank distribute hampers and fresh produce to people In our community. Thank you to everybody who donated and to our great team of local volunteers.
22.01.2022 For the first time in 73 years the CWA Tea Rooms at the Royal Easter Show won't be running leaving significant gap in our yearly fundraising. If you'd like to s...till support the CWA of NSW this year, you can now buy a "virtual scone". This comes with a certificate and a recipe so you can make your own scones at home. While you may not be able to physically sit in our wonderful Tea Room and enjoy a scone and a cuppa, you can still have the satisfaction of making a donation to the CWA of NSW and even have the opportunity to whip up a Devonshire tea of your own at home, State President Stephanie Stanhope said. Go to https://shop.cwaofnsw.org.au/index.php Note: Donations go towards the running of the CWA of NSW and are NOT tax deductible.

14.01.2022 I get very limited opportunity to ask questions of the Government in Parliament, and I use those very few opportunities to ask serious questions which are of gr...eat importance to the Orange electorate. This afternoon I asked a question of the Minister for NSW Health regarding the delivery of essential health services to the Parkes and Forbes communities, which are under threat. Minister Brad Hazzard's response demonstrates his and his Government's contempt for the communities of Forbes, Parkes and the greater rural and regional NSW. They underestimate the voice of the bush and my determination to fight whomever and whatever to maintain our health services. LIKE and SHARE to support the bush and out this Government's childish and shameful behaviour. See more

13.01.2022 A great day out was had by our group on Saturday; we attended a painting workshop on the veranda of Made on Fridays. Despite the dust we enjoyed laughs and a glass of wine whilst creating our masterpieces!

10.01.2022 We had a great start to 2020 with lots to discuss at our first meeting for the year last night. We have decided to give our $500 winnings from our magnificent inaugural Australia Day float entry to the very worthy CWA Disaster Relief fund which is giving great practical help to many affected by the bushfires. New members are ALWAYS welcome, our next meeting will be at the Vandenberg hotel for dinner at 6.30pm on 12th March. We will be hearing from one of the organisers of the Grease And Oil Change - another local activity that we have sponsored. The Grease and Oil change evening will be held in Forbes on Thursday 6pm 20th March all welcome but RSVP needed for catering. This fantastic program helps rural people with their mental health.

09.01.2022 Wow! What a fantastic celebration - Australia Day 2020! We had so much fun in our inaugural float entry, in the front Karen Michelle Karen Michelle Wright and grand-daughter Lucy Wright. In the back seat were Danielle Toole and Heather Earney. Sitting on the back having tea and scones were Shirley Redfern and Stephanie Allen. Thanks to all for making this happen and to our supporters in the crowds along the way. We’ve had a lot of fun which was topped off by us winning third place and $500 in why leave town money to put towards our worthwhile projects in 2020. FORBES Evening Branch is AMAZING!!
