25.01.2022 We turned TWO today If you thought 2020 was a weird time to be alive, try working in/owning a primary health service! That nasty little bug call rona literally changed the way we delivered medicine overnight. We could only do that with confidence because we have THE best little gang around. Our team worked tirelessly this year to innovate and grow our business in the most uncertain of times all whilst risking their own health and that of their family. Talk about dedication!... It has been a wild ride for us so far. One that I don’t think we’ve really caught our breath on. We are forever grateful for the support our community has shown us and are in awe of the people we have working alongside us. Proud just doesn’t do it justice #mamturnstwo

24.01.2022 Have you had your flu shot yet? We are one of the few practices that still has flu vaccine stock and we would love to protect you and the most vulnerable in our community. The influenza vaccine is recommended for anyone over the age of 6 months and there is a government funded vaccine for the following groups: People aged 65 yrs and older Pregnant women Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people... Children aged 6 months to less than 5 years People with certain medical conditions that increase their chance of influenza An appointment is required but we promise our nurses are the best in the biz and will make it quick and discrete for even the biggest sooks (like our beloved India) and if you play your cards right they will even give you a teddy bear band aid! #itsnotoolatetovaccinate See more

15.01.2022 Have you had your flu shot yet? All the various types are here (including the special over 65’s formulation). The recommendation is for everyone to get vaccinated earlier this season, particularly in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Simply phone the practice on 5971 0201 to be booked into one of our flu clinics that are running daily. There has already been unprecedented demand and so we are encouraging everyone not to delay.

13.01.2022 With Dr Draper taking a short break as of this Friday we are very excited to welcome former Forbes GP, Dr Claire Cupitt back to her old stomping ground. As many of you may know Dr Cupitt used to be a partner in the Cross St Medical Centre which operated for many years from the building which we work from today. Dr Cupitt will be locuming with us from Monday 28 September to Thursday 1 October and we still have some appointments available. Please phone reception on (02) 5971 0201 to make a booking.

A coffee on Cowal is the very kind work from the team at @evolutionmining who have donated coffee vouchers to our team to say thank you to health care providers and educators during these crazy corona days. We are blown away by the generosity of people and businesses during these tricky times. A couple of Friday’s ago we had a delicious cake randomly turn up from the @thebakehouseforbes - it has been truly humbling to have the community so appreciative of the work we do. Our Provisional Psychologist - Gaby Shepherd is just that! A local gal who is passionate about improving the mental health of our community. Gaby currently consults Tuesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s at MAM and is available for face-to-face appointments or via teleheath for our out of town clients. She works with clients across the lifespan, b...ut has a particular interest in children. No referral required, but appointments for the remainder of the year are filling fast. 02.01.2022 We would like to introduce you (from a safe distance!) to our new Provisional Psychologist - Candour Hu. Candour has relocated to Forbes from Sydney to join the gang at MAM and boy are we excited to have him here and offer our community mental health services again! Due to COVID-19 we are offering appointments exclusively by telehealth at the moment. If technology or internet speed is an issue for you, don’t worry you can come into the practice where you will be set up in ou...r telehealth room to do the consult. If that’s an issue because you’re self-isolating then we can even use the trusty old telephone. We know these are crazy times and we respect your need to stay home but we know there are many of you who really want to be able to access psychological services so please feel free to chat to our staff about what might work best and we will do our best to make it happen.
