This will ensure these beautiful trees can grow quickly to provide shade for this #amazing little park. This project is one of many between Forbes Shire Council and Forbes Arts Society to bring a sustainable art trail to the Lachlan Valley. Resulting in a steady stream of tourists and sculpture lovers visiting our region, staying a couple of... days and spending a few dollars in our towns. The gardens have in a very short time produced lettuce, strawberries, beetroot, beans, chilli's and much much more. Remember to only put your organic waste in the Green lid bin and it can be made in amazing soil like the soil shown in the video. 06.01.2022 Super Mega Fun Day wrapped up Youth Week in Forbes. On Saturday April 24th we concluded an amazing week of activities with our youth of the Shire. It also gave us the opportunity to award three outstanding young people in our community. Forbes Public School's Laura Chudleigh was awarded the highly commended Forbes' Youth Citizenship Award. Laura is a powerhouse on the sporting field and an amazing fundraiser. She is a school captain at Forbes Public School and has shown initi...ative starting a program to encourage people to recycle bottles to reduce landfill. From this Laura raises money for school events and donates it to charities such as Havannah House. Annika Dukes was awarded the Sports Volunteer Award. Annika has a passion for sports and has received numerous awards for her efforts volunteering for local sporting clubs. Well done and keep up the great work! Last but not least, Scarlett Garland was announced the recipient of the Brighter Future Award. Scarlett is definately one to watch! She is a diesel mechanic apprentice and has a strong commitment and passion for her work. She is a great role model for females wanting to get into mechanics and she doesn't want being a female stop anyone seeking to do so. #youthweek2021 #ForbesShireCouncil #amazingcommunity
