24.01.2022 An alpaca and a penguin both made of alpaca wool, incredibly soft, and cuddly. Available at Wag Walters Emporium.
24.01.2022 Day 397............. a bit of fun at the end of the working day. Sophie was interrupted from her normal tasks to model some of the lovely new scarves and handbags in stock. This Autumn scarf is $36.00 , soft leather tan handbag $145.00 and A beautiful French necklace $194.00. Tomorrow I’m going for an eye checkup in Bunbury so I will have a rare trip off the property. Come in and keep Sophie busy.

22.01.2022 Day 186.............. A family gardening crew arrived today and started work immediately . This is three generations pulling a rampart vine out of a tree it was smothering. So funny and a bit crazy. Lots happening at Ford House with these three in the garden and all the activity in the shop. So many generous hearted people have helped me at Ford House recently and it makes me feel so special. I’m thrilled with the new stock and how it’s all coming together. Next week I will take lots of photos of stock so you can all share in my excitement.

21.01.2022 Day 183................ This time of year at Ford House is really special. So many soft pastels in the garden at this time of year. Today a lovely man came and did the tree stump grinding which will make mowing earsier. A huge amount of stock was delivered today so a mountain of work is still in front of us. Everybody worked hard and we hardly scratched the surface. Lots of beautiful new product will be all displayed by the weekend.
19.01.2022 Day 187.............. another full on day, all stock has been put away and the moving out of the Wendy House has begun. Andrew and his Dad worked hard in the garden this morning and Oliver and Ian moved a big shelf from the Wendy House to the walkway. I was moving things all over the place to find new homes for stock. Because of my personality I’m now keen to do the next bit of the plan. Oliver is so helpful at the end of the day when I’m exhausted.

18.01.2022 Day 227............. The Blues are on this weekend in Bridgetown so I’m hoping lots of people drop by. Come down and enjoy the roses, and have a wander in the shop.
18.01.2022 The white climbing rose in the background is called Wedding Day and we planted it on the day we were married after a ten year courtship. I need to go down tomorrow and see it in full bloom. The pellargonian at the front was just a few cuttings we shoved in the ground. I love my home on the Blackwood River.
16.01.2022 The last few of these stunning velvet pumpkins are available at Wag Walters Emporium. Large $40.00 Medium $37.00 and small $30.00.
15.01.2022 Day 398............. today I went to Bunbury with Ian and Judith and was dropped off at Susie’s house. From there I had an eye appointment and I spent the rest of the day working on the Ball photos I took of the granddaughters last month. It was lovely to see all the girls and spend time with Susie. Two of the girls are doing their driving hours for their licences and it only seems a short time ago they were learning to walk.
14.01.2022 Sophie modelling a very soft snood in variegated taupe. She feels like a little deer. Price for scarf $30.00, Sophie priceless.
14.01.2022 Day 184............ I’m so excited when an idea I have becomes a reality. This looks like a village in Europe on the edge of a steep landscape running down to the sea. These houses are designed to have a candle put in the back so they light up. I love the shadows they create. 102 houses to choose from....
14.01.2022 Day 396............ A beautiful leather handbag in a denim colour by Vera May, new in stock. The response to Bespoke on the Blackwood has been very encouraging. I’m hoping there will be some artists happy to show how they create their pieces. I know when my kids were young they loved watching, people spinning wool , forging metal or painting a picture. It’s not possible for all artisans but a few people doing their thing will add to the atmosphere on Sunday 26th September.

06.01.2022 Day 238........... I pushed a wrong button so have to redo post. This is the wood shed near Aislinn House. I love the colours in this photo. This morning I found out I was a Great Grandmother to little Lola Rose. Very exciting news. Sophie and I have worked very hard today organising displays and keeping things on an even keel. We are still needing a casual gardener for early morning or late afternoon for help with watering, dead heading, weeding and general gardening jobs. Any ideas give me a ring or message.
06.01.2022 Day 185................ the blossom on the Silver Pear. What a day. Exciting, hard but lots of joy. Friends working in the garden, a friend from Bunbury helping with unpacking and the girls all working doing different jobs to keep things afloat. We have broken the back of the huge deliveries this week and now just need a bit more time to perfect the displays and find homes for the last few things. I had a few really good laughing episodes today , always makes life better.
06.01.2022 Day 240............ tonight some of the staff and my friend Andrew came to help put decorations up at Ford House and then we had dinner together in the barn. It was a lovely night with a lot of silly banter This is Windy just putting up decorations like nobody is taking her photo. Sophie is up the ladder and Andrew is hiding in the corner behind Helen. I still have lots to unpack tomorrow but more help has been called in. Looking forward to a big progress day tomorrow. .
05.01.2022 Day 228.......... so pleased with myself that I managed a video today. Most of the things I photograph don’t move around. I’m hoping more people find there way down to Wag Walters Emporium tomorrow. See you then.
05.01.2022 Day 229...................A lovely weekend with old and new customers coming in and leaving with wrapped shopping. Helen cooked lots of bacon and eggs, the girls and I did more rearranging of stock and lots of gift wrapping. Windy sent some people out feeling very relaxed after fantastic massages and of course there was lots of cleaning and dishes. That was my twenty fifth blues in Bridgetown. So many friends made, funny experiences and busy times. So many memories!!!!
05.01.2022 Day 239........... this is what my whole work area is starting to look like. There are crocodiles and gingerbread men piled up on baskets of laundry waiting to be folded and cartons and packing noodles and general chaos. So many late deliveries are coming in and lots of shoppers etc and I’m in my happy place. So many beautiful things were unpacked today so if you enjoy seeing me in my element or want to get first dibs on the new stock come on in.
05.01.2022 I’ve had a lot of interest in these stunning mug and plate sets so I’ve put the full collection together. They would make a lovely set all together. Plates $30 and mugs $25.00.
