05.01.2022 Ford ignition switch problem. Customer had the switch repaired by an auto electrician. After removing the covers it was an obvious problem. They have drilled a hole in the side of the switch, put a screw in and a cable tie to hold it all together. It worked for a short time and now the customer cant drive his car. Just like all other repairs they are trying to repair a dodgy part. We are the only company that manufacture and install a full replacement part with a lifetime warranty. 02.01.2022 Sometimes you think you've seen it all being a specialist but this was a first. This Ford BF Fairmont had sneaked through a local car dealership in this conditi...on many years ago and the customer reported weird electrical issues since owning it but just put up with it. Someone has tried to put the ignition switch back together and broke the backing plate, not only that but lost a piece of the plate and decided to glue it back together like a broken cookie. The customer couldn't believe what I was showing them and extremely grateful they contacted the right people to fix it properly and as a bonus fixed all their weird electrical issues with the vehicle. Keep in mind you can't buy these wiring harnesses and backing plates so think twice if you think you'll give it a crack at a DIY repair.
